I have just got such a mac and possess Word Mac 2011 version 14.0.0. I have tried everything I can thingk of and may not enter word. When I open word preferences after which spellcheck then dictionary and try to include this file after being unziped shoes but is greyed out so I cannot add it. I have attemptedto find the place that the original dictinoary would be to no avail. I think will not be the right ext. due to this version. Any help?

Hi Raj I deleted this file from my desktop after following my above instructions for Word 2007. Your file still appears in Spellcheck. To verify it there from the custom dictionaries, I am able to look at the word list on your file, see your complete words, and add words, etc. So it works, at least on my small computer, in case you delete the initial file from your desktop. Of course, you'll want to COPY the file in your Spell Check, not simply shortcut it.

FYI with Word 2007 you have to visit Review/Spelling Grammar/Options/Custom Dictionaries.

I am also running Windows 7 with MS Office 2010, and possess installed the dictionary fine. The folder AppData is going to be hidden inside your User folder. Thank you a lot!!!!! My computer crashed a week ago and I still use Windows XP but decided to work with Word 2007 rather then 2003 these times. I wasn t confident that my Stedman s Medical Spellchecker 7.0 that I have experienced forever would work along with it or not and didn t wish to chance it. I am so glad I found this. Thank for the many hard work you place into this. I can t wait to test it out in several minutes.: BTW, I used David Schneider s instructions to set up.

Thank you a lot! My computer died, and I lost my medical spellchecker by it. With the many expenses of a whole new computer, I really would not want to pay 95 for a different spellchecker. I such as your spellchecker a lot because I didn't have to produce any big changes to my new computer to be. If I decide I need to resume Stedman s spellchecker eventually, it will become a simple matter to uncheck the box due to this text file. Thank you to your generosity.

For Windows 7 and Word 2010, locate proof C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoftSharedProof paste your file there. Then open word options and proofing. OK, I m using a Mac running MS Office 2011 and I CANNOT understand this thing to figure. I followed the steps Vikash has, just above, after placing the file within the following folder in my hard drive per one with the above file to/Users//Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2011
the is my user name on my own computer. The file was in there, everything seems fine, but once I go throughout the steps above, the file is greyed out. The file is there personally to choose, however, not this another one. Why is it still greyed out?
After you click Add New, just seek out this on the bottom of the window: Files of type: Dictionary Files.
Pull on the menu to make it to study All Files.

First time while i upgraded to 2007, a friend as if you helped me however I lost the file he provided and from now on he just isn't sure how he achieved it at that time:. I am stumped! Did you uncheck the slot Suggest from main dictionary only which is found in Word Options/Proofing/AutoCorrect Options? Most probably you wouldn t have unchecked that slot. There shouldn t become a tick mark as slot.
Otherwise is working fine with MicroSoft Word 2013. I don t know in which you are going wrong. Fiddle from it and once you are in a position to make it work, kindly let us know the place you were wrong.
Raj, it turned out the fault with the operator, me. I kept trying to be to work, kept undoing and redoing. Finally, I opened to view if I could use your message list for reference, worst of all scenario. When I opened the file in notepad, it absolutely was empty. I checked the file on my small old computer and when it had been opened in notepad, there have been a listing of words. That got me thinking. So, I deleted every file that I found, re-downloaded the zip file, unzipped it, and opened file again. The listing of words came out and I knew I hadn t messed this file up with every one of the copy and pasting or whatever I did wrong. Then I followed the instructions you provided. I also banned Word after I finished and reopened it, and VIOLA! It was there anticipating me. I m one happy camper now. I feel slightly ignorant, but I did get it to figure. Thank you for your entire help. I really appreciate it a whole lot!!!
I couldn t imagine the way the file got corrupted for your end. However, I am glad that the dictionary with spell checker finally worked for you personally. Again, this certainly will help/alert somebody inside same situation like yours.

Does this cover dental terms? I m in dental school inside them for hours trouble locating a dictionary of dental terms for MS word. If it doesn t cover those, is there any which you might recognize? I feel similar to this should be a fairly easy find but I m having problems doing so

So sad to know the twist arm tactics of Google that led to closure of MT Herald. Google made its name and fame about the basis with the very websites which it has discarded. Now this is out to create fame around my India using their Android One cellular phones. Sorry Raj. My sympathies with you for your trouble which you are under-going to keep your help for mankind afloat through other servers.
Coming back to the present topic, during your search the Net to get a British English Dictionary I chanced upon an online site: /scientific-word-list-for-spell-checkersspelling-dictionaries/which includes both, US English and UK English custom dictionaries well over 600, 000 entries each including Medical Terms, but will not have drug names. It may be updated adjusted Jan 03, 2014. It may can be found in hand in the event you plan a next update of MTH-MedSpelChek.
