I am obtaining the same problem because previous guy. I have a completely new Dell laptop, with 5 GB of memory. Win 7/64 installing at Dell. No previous office installation in any way.
I was looking to install it coming from a shared folder, these days I have developed a copy with the folder locally within the Desktop. I am logged on because Administrator, and have absolutely rebooted it more than once.
This isn't the first Win7/64 I have installed Office 2007 Pro in, others are running perfectly. but that one is driving me crazy. I have tried installing it because admin, standard user but I keep finding the same error. Return code: 30026 Exception caught: IncompleteProductAddOns.

Ive tried your instructions on 2 different machines and yes it didnt work. This appears to be a typical problem while using software. Has Microsoft released an alternative since 2009? I have Office 2007 installed all right but it is not going to let me install Project 2007 as well as the Troubleshooter says the reason is incompatible.

Your not gonna believe this. Before I received your last reply I thought I would try reinstalling Windows 7. All the programs work now. There isn't longer the configuration and hang up pop-ups process plus the programs including Project open without delay. Im not sure why, nevertheless the initial Windows 7 installation wouldn't normally allow me to pick the upgrade option, I had to try and do a clean install, using Windows easy transfer etc. This time I was competent to choose the upgrade option. You know the process from there. I am wondering whether something went astray in the first Windows 7 installation. Thanks on your advice. Will keep you posted, but to date so good.

I have 173 Gig free space for the hard drive. The other Office programs do open, nevertheless the process will be the same. Windows has got to configure and gather informatiion etc, this can be quiet a sluggish process. Also, today a message attachment excel worksheet I was sent won't open.

Yes I have Microsoft 2000 SR - 1 Professional installed. Office 2007 etc was installed just as one upgrade to 2000. Will I have uninstall this method as well as Office 2007 and Project 2007?

I am completely illiterate in the event it comes to computers. I recently purchased a different laptop and it's windows 8 becasue it is operating system. I have my office 7 program and desire in handle the installation on my new laptop. I place the disk inside the disc drive and zilch seems to happen. On my previous laptop it cranked up right away and I simply followed the prompts. I get none of this together with the new laptop. Can you please advise. Thanks

Hi: Ive done this and also the installation went great. I deleted the Microsoft Office App the way it continually traveled to look for a non-existent Office 2013 version. The problem is that despite the fact that I can concur that Office 2007 is successfully installed, I cannot find it make use of it.
