If that you are using Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 2016, you could have noticed that the newest Office suites dont have Microsoft Office Picture Manager program. Picture Manager was a fantastic and small program incorporated into Office suite which familiar with help users in viewing, editing and managing pictures simply. It also employed to provide a few advanced image editing features like crop, auto correct, rotate, flip, red-eye removal, resize, etc.
Basically that it was a nice bit of program to edit pictures these days its no longer a part of Office suite. The reason looks quite easy. This program wasn't updated since Office 2003 version and was looking out-of-date, thats why Microsoft made a decision to discontinue its development.
But there are various Office users who will be missing this nice little program and want to obtain it way back in newer Office versions.
After receiving many emails from AskVG readers approximately the same request, today I chosen to post this tutorial that helps you when you get Microsoft Office Picture Manager program back Office 2013 and 2016 versions.
Using following simple measures you can install missing Picture Manager tool in your metabolism containing the most recent Office versions.
The idea behind adding the program back is quite simple. Well utilize a previous Office suite setup and may customize it to setup only Picture Manager program:
1. You can use any Office version setup for instance Office 2010, 2007 or 2003. You just need to run the file contained in Office setup folder or disc, enter product key then when it requests for installation type, select Customize button as shown in following screenshot:
NOTE: If you dont have a very previous Office version setup disc or folder, you'll be able to use Microsoft SharePoint Designer SPD 2010 version to setup Picture Manager. You can download it free of charge using website link that follows:
Its free and doesnt require any product critical for activate.
2. Once you run the setup, on next screen, visit each given program link and select Not Available on the options list:
3. Then click Microsoft Office Picture Manager program link within Office Tools section and select Run from My Computer option.
4. Thats it. Click on Install Now button and enable the setup install this course. Itll please take a few minutes and when the setup finishes, you will have enjoy Picture Manager enter in Office 2013 and 2016 versions.
Do you additionally love this handy put in Office suite or maybe you use any image editing program? Feel free to discuss your
Thanks VG. I love your site content. Nice trick.:
thank : BTW only install just only this from your Office 2010 suite. could it break the activation of Office 2013?
Great Trick VG!! Had been truly disappointed to get the Pic Manager missing. Thnx a whole lot, youre a classic GodSend. Whenever I see your site, Im always capable of find THAT bit sized nugget of info that Id been hunting. Your site is really a unique one and also I cant stop posting plenty of thanks on every thing you post you provide.
You can also just set it up from any free version of SharePoint Designer. No need to enter any product key either.
Smart trick!! thanks shame to MO team:D!! Best application Ever!!
Thank you a lot VG. you've made my day. much appreciated.
Another way to obtain Picture Manager without Office should be to download the free Sharepoint Designer 2010. I had complications with installing Office 2010 Picture Manager after installing Office 2013 Pro. It maintained having a licensing error although I had a current 2010 license. The Sharepoint Designer doesnt require a key.
Thank you. I just installed Office 2013 and was very disappointed that Microsoft Picture manager wasnt there. Nothing works also and all other people are so cumbersome. Thanks again.
thanks a lot, appreciate it, appreciate it, it worked, I was disappointed to see it had been missing when I updated word, and this also feature was gone. worthwhile!
Thank you to the information. I recently changed to Windows 7 together to then purchase Office 2013 as my original Office installation disk was Office 97. I was quite devastated when I traveled to open Picture Manager to edit a few photos and found I will no longer had it. I used your data and will have Picture Manager again. Thank you again.
Thanks much! I installed the SharePoint Designer 2010 and it also automatically installed Picture Manager. You rock!
Many thanks to the fix. I depend upon MOPM for photographs for inclusion in reports, hence the call to resize and edit. Ive also downloaded Photo Gallery and require I hadnt wasted time. Once again cheers.
Thankyou mate for that trick. u saved my day.
Installed picture manager 2010 in office 2013. worked charm!!!
I cannot thanks a lot enough! I tried Picasa, Faststone, Xn View and any other signs but was unhappy. After months of frustration with one of these programs I am thrilled being back to your Picture Manager!
A procedure that not just matches what Im seeing on my small screen, but one that works well exactly as described.
You certainly are a star!!! I was long with numerous others disappointed when I couldnt find picture manager so user friendly. Thank You
Thanks Vish! Youre the Man!
Ive been a major fan of Picture Manager for several years, I use it to batch process and resize/rename photos.
Thank you quite definitely!! Especially with all the free download option fantastic have an earlier version of Office around!
A thousand thank yous! I love Picture Manager and was talking without it!
Awesome Awesome Awesome!!! Just make use of the SharePoint Designer download option and take it easy about product codes or messing up other Office versions etc. The whole process took maybe 3-4 minutes and happened just like advertised. Thanks again to the
YAYYYYY!!!! After testing Office 2013 for the week and simply today realizing that this highly useful picture manager was missing, I was furious. Thanks for your entire help!
THANKS A LOT!!! The new Photo Gallery was driving me crazy. This may be the reason why many people leave I wonder who makes the stupid decisions?
Hi, thanks a lot for this.
I appreciate the simplicity of Picture Manager if you are able to quickly limit the size of pictures or photos plus the ability to autocorrect them. Office generally seems to keep a quality of image if it is reduced too.
It is really a shame it absolutely was not included inside the 2013 version.
Thanks a great deal!! I just sent bad feedback to Office because I expected to work with Picture Manager again but couldnt!!! What a terribly bad choice at their store. Youre a lifesaver!!
You can be a lifesaver! I use Picture Manager nearly daily and was struggling to locate another program which was just as quick and easy make use of. This was a negative decision. THANK YOU!
thanks a whole lot. You are genius. You dont understand how much you taught me to be. This picture gallery wasted my 3 hrs. Thanks a whole lot
Thanks VG! This article made my day.
Microdoft Team developed a grave mistake in removing this method.
Worked like no bodies business. Thank You a great deal - I needed the offer desperately. There are a lot of other picture viewers, but it is something I am so utilized to over the final many-many years.
Thanks a great deal for this solution. I added MSOPM from my old Office 2007 disk to my new Office 365 on Win 8. Like numerous others with this thread, I find it a wonderful tool for quick, simple editing within personal and indurtrial situations and should not understand why the supposed brainy people at MS would delete it. MAD! Thanks again; the programs that included Office 365 were planning to drive me crazy.
Thanks! Help a great deal! I really require Picture Manager. Thanks for your tip to make it back!
I thought I was the only one that had been so linked to using picture manager, AM sooo greatful for locating this, A MLLION THANKS! your instructions were perfect, Am so pleased to have picture mgr working not having my installing office 2013 effected by any means!
Thank you a lot!!! Worked like no bodies business!
Thank you greatly. I downloaded SharePoint and Installed Office Picture Manager. But, before I did this, I had Photo Manager. So, when I check out emails and my pictures, things are in Photo Manager unless I visit Programs and check out Picture Manager. I was wondering if there is usually a way to remove photo manager now and easily be in a position to use Picture Manager not having to head over to Programs first?
Which Photo manager program do you think you're talking about? Is it a third party software? If yes, it is possible to uninstall it using Program and Features in Control Panel.
Also it is possible to associate Picture Manager with desired image file formats having its Options window.
Awesome!!! It was quick, easy, and in business Thanks, held on the day.
It worked 6/14 thanks!!! I am using Windows 8 and I think that I dont learn how to work my computer anymore. I were required to right-select a photo and select go with a default in order to obtain Picture Manager to get my default. Many thanks!!
It worked 7/12 many thanks!!! I am using Windows 8 and I sense that I dont understand how to work my computer anymore. Diana says it best!
I KNEW I was NOT the only one which was so mounted on using picture manager. AM sooo greatful to find this! A MLLION THANKS! your instructions were ALMOST perfect add the blurb that after launched to be used YEAH! the consumer will also get a pop-ups 1 continuing or close choose close AND 2 an alternative choice to select there are several options related to standard MS Updates that make reference to MSO 2010 OR a final option in RED to avoid updates. I selected this program BECAUSE the updates read as if your system will update for MSO 2010 stuff - which nobody wants now that were on MSO2013!
From an ancient techie/infrastructure person - Damn Nice Sir. Keep up these tidbits. I will likely be watching Mr Gupta!!
Thanks! Works great, used SharePoint, these days Windows Updates wants to setup 7 updates for Office 2010 229.8 MB, including SP2. Will this obstruct Office 2013, cause conflicts, etc.? Seems being a lot to set up for just Picture Manager previously being installed.
Thank you a great deal. it save my day.
Thanks, worked perfectly. Was missing my MS Office Picture Mgr!
Thats obvious. Since you installed a software program of Office 2010, Windows Updates will install all updates applicable with it for security and gratification improvements. Install those updates without worries. Itll not cause any difficulty.
Thanks. Im glad that will help you guys.:
Can I use a similar trick if Im using Office 365?
Thanks for that very useful tip. But after sometime, I had issues with file associations - when I simply click Word document, or Excel Spreadsheet, or PowerPoint deck, it never opened. I had to begin with respective application Word, Excel, etc. then choose the file I wish to open. Upon checking I found that I found 2 versions of Office on my small PC, both 2013 and 2010. So I were forced to uninstall both and re-install. I was very surprised how Office 2010 version was installed in my PC. I style of figured out that Windows Update went ahead and installed SP2 of Ofiice2010 which may have brought back the earlier version and caused the problem. Now I am careful to manually control Windows Updates to protect yourself from installing any updates for Office 2010. Windows update is just not smart. Just because I have installed Picture Manager from Office 2010, it installs all updates for Office 2010.
Thank you much s working very fine.
thanks veeery much. That usually have done the secret!
Thanks on your guidance.
I had many problem caused by lack of this system. I solved it using your remedy and version 2003.
Works just as described. Thank you much for this wonderful workaround. As all of us have mentioned here, I am not sure why Microsoft would tend to remove this sort of useful program.
Actually, given that I think over it, I do know why. They want everyone to switch towards the APP format for programs. They needs to have realized once the Start Menu fiasco started and prompting the making of 8.1. I am not sure who their focus group is, but clearly it isn't someone who uses windows over a regular basis.
Thanks again for that help.
Worked like no bodies business. You are the man! Thank you
Fantastic Guys! Thanks a thousand!
Thank you, appreciate it, many thanks, thanks a lot. For us old guys that actually work to learn something and obtain used for it this did the key. I am so glad I found this post.
Thank you for any simple solution. Like countless others here I am struggling Microsoft Office 2013 and Windows 8.1, oh for your good old days when I understood my computer and frequently it understood me, now I seem like its landed on my own desk from another planet. Ive lost the ability for being able to accomplish things quickly and ultimately this morning after a couple of hours of downloading one rubbish app after another, I was reduced to real tears of frustration, after that friend sent me your link and, voila, all back and tickety boo!
Thanks VG with the great suggestion.
In regards to SIBs and RSs comments, I too am anxious about going ahead with 2010 updates as offered including Service Pack 2.
Have decided to refrain from giving so, until hearing further comments of your stuff. There is enough bloatware around to slow up my computer without adding going without running shoes!
Thank you quite definitely for having this system has been making me nuts!!
Fantastic! What a lifesaver. And extremely easy to the technology challenged!! Thanks heaps.
That was wonderful thanks VG, like other readers I was annoyed with MS dropping Picture manager, photo gallery is OK quite a bit less useful or as intuitive
Let me add my note of gratitude! Your step by step instructions were excellent! And I am sooo very happy to have this easy-to-use and familiar photo editing tool back after installing Office 2013 and finding it missing. Thanks again!
Thank you a whole lot for this. Very generous person to share you knowledge this
Thank you much!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got such a new computer and was devastated because I couldnt fix my pics like I am familiar with. Worked like no bodies business!!!!! August 23, 2014
This is really what I need! Excellent work! Please keep writing! Take care.
Tanx to your account askvg. I succesfully made it happen.
Thank you of those instructions. As I hate the either complex or rudimentary tools on Mac and PC I missed this system badly after upgrading to 2013. After all of the Picture Manager offers all functions I might need although not too many a greater portion of which Im grateful. It keeps this course easy and light.
This would not work to me with small enterprise 2003. Could not find Picture Manager. Any suggestions? Thanks due to this walk through.
Thank you for ones website!!
This was FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much to the help - I really dont discover how Id cope without Picture Manager!!
Thank you quite definitely for this post. Picture Manager is really a vital tool to my work and after this I can still have fun here even with Office 2013
Thank you! It worked like no bodies business. The Picture Manager is actually the best photo viewer around. In its absence from Office 2013 I tried a great many others and nothing is just as easy to work with for just basic editing and viewing. All other Microsoft option is not user-friendly. I guess I should not surprised Microsoft eliminated among their truly great applications from your customer standpoint. I used a place of work 2007 license.
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! I recently got a different computer with MS Office 2013 and also have been beyond frustrated at not having this method, and substitute Photo Gallery is entirely useless. I used my 2007 installation disks plus it worked perfectly. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was unhappy it wasnt included, however tip helped so a lot. Thank you!
Happy Dance! Thank you much.
Thank you for that instruction! However the draw back is the fact that after setting it up the system are going to be prompting for ALL the Office 2010 Yes, they could be turned off manually but it can be a bit of a
Worked as advertised. Thanks for that help!
Definitely appreciate the information. Thank you significantly.
Thanks one million! As a 74 year-old and use to Picture Manager there was clearly no way I could get my head around the revolutionary program which have Office 2013. Why does Microsoft get rid of such handy programs? Its crazy!
VG, Can you believe? Sounds odd, but I still prefer to have the Imaging enter in Windows 7! That was also a great and small put in Windows 2000. So any way to work with it?
Did you are trying to copy its EXE file from Windows 2000 to Windows 7?
VG, this continues to be such an enormous help to me. It is better to discover what askvg needs to say than it is usually to curse the darkness!
Yes. I was even with it on Windows XP previously however it is not working on Windows 7 64 bit. In XP I could install Imaging by right-clicking around the file and selecting install. Maybe I need to edit the inf file to restore compatible with Windows 7.
Sweet! Thank you much! I am not much computer user except on the subject of photo editing, and Picture Manager makes some elements very simple and quick. Excellent instructions and I would've had no idea how you can do this in my own. Thanks again for saving me a large amount of time!
Id prefer to join the masses in thanking you for the easy solution towards the shock of realizing that Office 2013 was missing one among my favorite programs!
Great advise, cheers.
As a dummy I would Need to now about Simply run the Office installer. How do you start that you?
Run file from Office installation disc or setup folder.
Setup cannot find Browse to a current installation source, and after that click OK.
Im using Window 7 and still have the 2007 version of Microsoft Office that I own as well as the software with a sound product key.
What am I doing wrong here?
Is it a true Office setup disc? It generally seems to me a pirated version. Please verify it first.
Wow, it's refreshing to FIND this and I thanks for it. Also, it really is refreshing to determine so many other folks have a similar desires. Too bad the individuals at Microsoft aren't intelligent enough to achieve a well used program. I just installed Office 13 two weeks ago and am not merely one bit impressed.
I have tried using my 2007 disk, sharepoint 2010 and sharepoint 2007. All three tend not to show picture manager within the tools section. Am I missing something?
Perfect - many thanks. Now have Office 2013 too and my joy is actually almost complete:
Thank you, thanks! Like the competition here, I was greatly dismayed to get my beloved picture manager missing from Office 13. Thank you a whole lot for your simple, clear, and license-legal fix!
Ive downloaded SharePoint 2010 and, unfortunately, I tend not to get the replacement for deselect Office programs through the dropdown. It just shows the Run from My Computer/Run all from My Computer/Installed on First Use options, without having a Not Available option. Am I doing something wrong? - I really miss lacking Picture Manager.
Works perfectly! Thank you quite definitely.
A Million thanks for your trick to acquire MOPM to utilize Office 2013!
Thank you so much for your tip on returning Picture Mgr. It was very successful! Thanks.

I work to get a large organization and they've tried installing MS Office Picture Manager if we upgraded to Office 2013 but cant on account of a licensing error. Do you recognize how to deal with that?

This article is awesome! Nice trick. Helped me a great deal.:
Thank you! Much happier to possess my Picture Manager back!:-
Please add me to your long report on users who desperately wanted Picture Manager back this task allows ME to determine what to do the photo, who went thru this method in about 5 minutes with out a hitch, and say THANK YOU due to this information.
In a global that is slowly decaying and fallling - I found a collection of instructions that truly worked. I could kiss you. Thanks for your workaround. I have Microsoft Picture Manager back. Shame you Microsoft to get such a Grinch!
Hooray. add an additional relieved Picture Manager user for your list of happy campers!
Another option if you happen to be an Evernote user highly recommended would be to use the photo annotation tool in Evernote. I use this when I would like to crop an image plus it works well for the. It doesnt seem to get the power to change the look quality/file size, however its useful for my tastes.
VG, txs txs txs on your tutorial!! Worked perfectly and I have my Picture Manager back DESPITE Microsoft efforts to deprive me.
Picture Managers simplicity and effectiveness is one among my most appreciated programs and I am very thankful that I contain it back after gonna Office 13. The some time and talent this web site put into helping others in incredible. I installed Picture Manager from my 2003 and yes it works great.
It excellent article now MS picture manger is doing work in ms 2013. thanks alot,.
Thank you a great deal for this tip and good installation description. Works fine and I can get back in the Picture Manager, which a lot of already said, will be the best tool for resizing, cropping, batch processing of pictures!
You are about to need to dumb around the instructions all over again. I have Office 2013 and will not have Office 2010 or some other earlier version installed. Step 1 says I should run the Office installer and I dont understand how to achieve that.
Microsoft might be unusually unintelligent. Pictures Manager is one with the most intuitive, basic and quick solutions to edit pictures that Ive ever used. It is useful if edits are certainly not complex. Maybe this can be why Microsoft made a decision to drop it, which is, it is simple and easy intuitive understanding that seems to get against the company mantra!
Ok, I finally established that I was required to download Share Point and I followed the instructions here. However, when I simply click a photo after which choose Open With it will not give me the substitute for choose Microsoft Picture Manager, it gives me the solution to open it with Microsoft Windows 10. The most notable option missing when you are performing so would be the file size is just not displayed. I wish to change the file size in order to obtain the size had to put the photo into view and also have it show over a screen using the right size.
Worked as being a champ. Thank you for helping me get my Picture Manager back. My IT group was worthless when I asked these phones restore it. Sometime simply do it yourself. Thanks again
Like Pete I installed Sharepoint Designer 2010 and my Picture Manager is back. Thank you.
This is amazing!! It worked just like a hard to rewind and read a couple of times but I have my picture editor back finally, before using the 2013 version I had not been delighted to discover it missing! I use would seem impossible to!!!!
Really fully grasp this tip - - I was missing Picture Manager.
Excellent! Thanks because of this, please continue the good work.
Thank you! I missed having that program a lot. It was my visit program to edit pictures quickly.
Joining the crowd to include my big frustration with MS. For years I used Picture Manager almost on the daily basis then gone. How stupid could it have been to simply exclude it without warning or explanations on Microsoft part. Hate them. Thanks because of this solution.
Argh, why in the world did they remove this and NOT REPLACE IT WITH A DECENT ALTERNATIVE?!?!
I dont need anything fancy - just the chance to crop, flip, rotate and perform odd little bit of recolouring.
This is my work PC and it absolutely was actually really a good choice for day-to-day tasks.
Paints there to stay for goodness sake!
It became great to obtain Picture Manager Back. I now have a very new laptop and wanted to set up this but it really seems to not be provided by SharePoint 2010. Can anyone help? Or maybe you've found much the same alternative?
Everyone around my office says a huge THANK YOU! We just got new computers with Office 2013, which is often a huge upgrade from whatever we had before - - but no Microsoft Office Picture Manager!
Thanks to your account, you can properly edit pictures again.
I love this short article. I really love the MS Office Picture Manager and incredibly hated that Office 2013 removed it. MS Photo Gallery blows!

So as described downloaded Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010, Custom install unselected all apps apart from, in
Does this also be employed by Microsoft Office 365? Im using Windows 8.1
I installed picture manager as described and it also worked, but Office 2013 don't showed up inside programs and features cpanel which broke my outcomes of Outlook and ACT! Contact Management program. Windows 8

Thank god your marvellous explanation was still being online - with the second quantity of two years I was required to reinstall my computer, so I lost the Office Picture Manager again. Enforced corporate upgrade to Office 2013 meant the invaluable MS Picture Manager application was absent. Stupid move.
A call for the IT helpdesk outsourced to your call centre in India - Im sorry but there seemed to be a struggle while using communications clarified which the solution is for them to set up JASC Paint Shop Pro 7. Which they did. And I completed it. It has a great deal of functionality but converting a mug of original resolution photos to smaller size for email isnt one among them.
Thanks for this page Im back on track and workstream efficient again!! So a big appreciate it!!
Thank you! I was getting really frustrated trying to obtain the latest picture editing programme to complete a simple tint. I have no clue why MS keeps producing software with less useful features than the very last version, there ought to be millions of annoyed users as long as they do an upgrade.
Very basic and useful tip! Thank you a great deal! I have been very disappointed to see this course isnt a part of Office 2013 suite. I were required to open the heavy Photoshop program just to accomplish very minor photo edits. Your tip really saved me! Thanks a great deal again!!
Thank you a great deal. I was very disappointed to view that Microsoft Picture Manager was removed inside the new Office versions. I am so glad you gave a workaround.
Cant thanks a lot enough. You made my day.
Many thanks. Like many more, I was very disappointed when I installed Office 2016 along with the Picture Manager tool removed. Got it back now. Appreciate.
I know your advise is sound, and is employed by many. However, at the job, we've had many in any other case most people receiving the errors from MS about incompatible versions of Microsoft Office installed, and Sharepoint wont sync properly. It isnt given that they installed the Sharepoint Designer 2010, but because the photo manager was PART from the Sharepoint Designer 2010, and Windows thinks it really is installed.
Is there any sort of a workaround YET? I just needed to make one among my users very unhappy to be able to fix her sync issues, by uninstalling the SP Designer, that also uninstalled her Picture Manager. But the sync issues are resolved.
WHEN I INSTALL THE PROGRAM FRAME INSTALLATION WHY?
Thank you a lot for this guidance, which Im now following to the third time. Picture manager will be the only tool that resizes newspaper front pages without distorting the link. the replacement programs just dont perform job.
Need slightly help. I just bought a different laptop Windows 10 Office 16, when I look at the instructions to download the Sharepoint it isn't going to list Windows 10 from the System Requirements, so I do not know which one to download without messing up my laptop.
I cant discover where to go as soon as the Sharepoint is downloaded. There was no directory picture manager. Help
You are only installing a totally free program. Thats absolutely legal.
Make sure you install SharePoint Designer 2007 or 2010.
I have just updated to Windows 10 and delighted to seek out this still works!
I just bought new cpus with windows 2016 - did everything you said above from office 2003 - found it - installed manager - everything fine - when I make an effort to change any image I have - the software program does nothing - wont change any element of my pictures - what's happening?
Interesting, but you said simply run the Office installer. I have little idea what which is, or where to have it. I guess simply needs to have been a give-away, who's would stop simple.
Searched for numerous solutions but only this worked.
Thanks for locating this work around. I am a photographer for high school sports and I shoot a large number of photos during each season. Ive used Picture Manager for several years and was bummed it wasnt in Office 2016. Picture Manager is really a great tool to quickly process photos. I dont care whether it looks is effective!
Fantastic solution!! Works beautifully.
One slight problem whenever using Picture manager to open up pictures, a dialogue box appears and ask me to activate or it can deemed unlicensed when 29 days comes to an end.
And when I go and activate, it says that it is just not validate considering that the license is utilized up already.
Thanks a lot! I used this a whole lot and these instructions were quite simple to follow!
Thanks for offering the work around!

I actually bought Windows 2016. I then got the whole picture from microsoft HomeStudentRetail and burnt it to your disk. I tried doing whatever you said to accomplish by picking out the customize however it just keep reinstalling office.
Anyway, I followed your link towards the Download Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer Frontpage 2010 Free, downloaded it and was then able to setup it.
It is actually called Microsoft Office 2010, is always that correct?
Awesome that I got this programme back, from my POV there is nothing that is really as easy or straightforward to make use of for simple photo management. Why does MS keep doing this type of thing to its users?
Thank you! It really works, like it!
Installed this from my old Office 2003 disc. Picture Manager seemed to get some other MS Office files in addition to it, but maybe I didnt select right. Anyway, I will have PM back and Im thrilled. Thank you much!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Ive spent hours tonight trying to make use of the picture program that sported Office 2016. I never could resize the photos. I never got my items listed available for sale. I was heartbroken. I am so very grateful to you personally for teaching me how to set up Picture Manager. Thanks, thanks a great deal! I like this Manager: Its nice to understand that numerous people want it too.
Thank you to your instructions on how to acquire Picture Manager back. I hadnt realised Microsoft had remove it from Windows 2016 and I have always used it this type of lot from the past so I could have been lost without one. Your website would have been a fantastic find and I will be to it frequently I am sure for really your wonderful help.
Fabulous. Only way I know to compress pictures. Dont need another learning curve. After install you have to have a restart with the computer, because otherwise the choices to change content of photo are grayed out.
If that you are using Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 2016, you could have noticed that the revolutionary Office suites dont include Microsoft Office Picture Manager program. Picture Manager was a superb and small program contained in Office suite which utilized to help users in viewing, editing and managing pictures simply. It also utilized to provide a few advanced image editing features including crop, auto correct, rotate, flip, red-eye removal, resize, etc.
Basically it absolutely was a nice part of program to edit pictures these days its no longer built into Office suite. The reason looks very easy. This program wasn't updated since Office 2003 version and was looking out-of-date, thats why Microsoft made a decision to discontinue its development.
But there are lots of Office users who're missing this nice little program and want for getting it way back in newer Office versions.
After receiving many emails from AskVG readers on the same request, today I chose to post this tutorial which supports you in enabling Microsoft Office Picture Manager program back Office 2013 and 2016 versions.
Using following points you can install missing Picture Manager tool in your metabolism containing the most up-to-date Office versions.
The idea behind adding the program back is really easy. Well make use of a previous Office suite setup and definately will customize it to fit only Picture Manager program:
1. You can use any Office version setup including Office 2010, 2007 or 2003. You just need to run the file within Office setup folder or disc, enter product key and once it wants installation type, select Customize button as shown in following screenshot:
NOTE: If you dont employ a previous Office version setup disc or folder, you may use Microsoft SharePoint Designer SPD 2010 version to put in Picture Manager. You can download it free of charge using link that follows:
Its for no extra charge and doesnt require any product answer to activate.
2. Once you run the setup, on next screen, simply click each given program link and select Not Available through the options list:
4. Thats it. Click on Install Now button and allow the setup install this program. Itll go on a few minutes and when the setup finishes, you can enjoy Picture Manager put in Office 2013 and 2016 versions.
Do additionally you love this handy enter in Office suite or else you use another image editing program? Feel free to share with you your

Thank you significantly VG. you've made my day. much appreciated.
Another way to acquire Picture Manager without Office should be to download the free Sharepoint Designer 2010. I had difficulties with installing Office 2010 Picture Manager after installing Office 2013 Pro. It maintained having a licensing error though I had a sound 2010 license. The Sharepoint Designer doesnt have to have a key.
Thank you. I just installed Office 2013 and was very disappointed that Microsoft Picture manager wasnt there. Nothing works at the same time and all other medication is so cumbersome. Thanks again.
thanks a lot, thanks, thanks a lot, it worked, I was disappointed to see it had been missing when I updated word, which feature was gone. very useful!
Thank you for that information. I recently changed to Windows 7 together with to then purchase Office 2013 as my original Office installation disk was Office 97. I was quite devastated when I attended open Picture Manager to edit a few photos and learned that I don't had it. I used the information you have and now take over Picture Manager again. Thank you just as before.
Thanks a lot! I installed the SharePoint Designer 2010 and it also automatically installed Picture Manager. You rock!
Many thanks with the fix. I count on MOPM for photographs for inclusion in reports, hence the necessity to resize and edit. Ive also downloaded Photo Gallery and need I hadnt wasted my own time. Once again thanks.

I cannot thanks a lot enough! I tried Picasa, Faststone, Xn View and the like but was unhappy. After months of frustration with your programs I am thrilled for being back on the Picture Manager !

A thousand thank yous! I love Picture Manager and was rumoring without it!
Awesome Awesome Awesome!!! Just makes use of the SharePoint Designer download option and take it easy about product codes or messing up other Office versions etc. The whole process took maybe 3-4 minutes and happened just like advertised. Thanks again for that
YAYYYYY!!!! After testing Office 2013 for just a week and just today realizing that this highly useful picture manager was missing, I was furious. Thanks for your entire help!
THANKS A LOT!!! The new Photo Gallery was driving me crazy. This could be the reason why many people leave I wonder who makes them stupid decisions?
Hi, thanks quite definitely for this.
I like the simplicity of Picture Manager to be able to quickly decrease the size of pictures or photos as well as the ability to autocorrect them. Office appears to keep a quality of image if it is reduced too.
It is often a shame it turned out not included within the 2013 version.
Thanks a lot!! I just sent bad feedback to Office because I expected to work with Picture Manager again but couldnt!!! What a terribly bad choice from their website. Youre a lifesaver!!
You certainly are a lifesaver! I use Picture Manager pretty much daily and was struggling to locate another program that had been just as quick and easy to make use of. This was a negative decision. THANK YOU!
thanks a whole lot. You are genius. You dont learn how much you taught me to be. This picture gallery wasted my 3 hrs. Thanks a whole lot
Thanks VG! This article made my day.
Microdoft Team developed a grave mistake in removing this system.
Worked like a dream. Thank You much - I needed the offer desperately. There are a lot of other picture viewers, but this really is something I am so accustomed to over the final many-many years.
Thanks much for this solution. I added MSOPM from my old Office 2007 disk to my new Office 365 on Win 8. Like a lot of others about this thread, I find it a wonderful tool for quick, simple editing in the personal and indurtrial situations and should not understand why the supposed brainy people at MS would delete it. MAD! Thanks again; the programs that had Office 365 were planning to drive me crazy.
Thanks! Help a great deal! I really require Picture Manager. Thanks to the tip to get it back!
I thought I was the only one that had been so linked to using picture manager, AM sooo greatful to find this, A MLLION THANKS! your instructions were perfect, Am so willing to have picture mgr working with out my installing of office 2013 effected the slightest bit!
Thank you much!!! Worked like a dream!
Thank you greatly. I downloaded SharePoint and Installed Office Picture Manager. But, before I did this, I had Photo Manager. So, when I head to emails and my pictures, things are in Photo Manager unless I check out Programs and visit Picture Manager. I was wondering if there is usually a way to remove photo manager now and simply be in a position to use Picture Manager not having to head to Programs first?
Which Photo manager program have you been talking about? Is it an unauthorised software? If yes, you are able to uninstall it using Program and Features in Control Panel.
Also you may associate Picture Manager with desired image file formats having its Options window.
Awesome!!! It was quick, easy, and back business Thanks, you protected the day.
It worked 6/14 thanks a lot!!! I am using Windows 8 and I sense that I dont discover how to work my computer anymore. I were required to right-click a photo and select go with a default in order to obtain Picture Manager to be my default. Many thanks!!
It worked 7/12 thanks a lot!!! I am using Windows 8 and I feel as if I dont understand how to work my computer anymore. Diana says it best!
I KNEW I was NOT the only one that had been so that come with using picture manager. AM sooo greatful for locating this! A MLLION THANKS! your instructions were ALMOST perfect add the blurb that after launched for usage YEAH! the consumer will also get a pop-ups 1 continuing or close choose close AND 2 another choice to select there are several options related to standard MS Updates that make reference to MSO 2010 OR the past option in RED to avoid updates. I selected this method BECAUSE the updates read like your system will update for MSO 2010 stuff - which stuffed now that were on MSO2013!
From a previous techie/infrastructure person - Damn Nice Sir. Keep up these tidbits. I is going to be watching Mr Gupta!!
Thanks! Works great, used SharePoint, these days Windows Updates wants to setup 7 updates for Office 2010 229.8 MB, including SP2. Will this affect Office 2013, cause conflicts, etc.? Seems being a lot to put in for just Picture Manager previously being installed.
Thank you a great deal. it save my day.
Thanks, worked perfectly. Was missing my MS Office Picture Mgr!
Thats obvious. Since you installed a plan of Office 2010, Windows Updates will install all updates applicable into it for security and satisfaction improvements. Install those updates with no worries. Itll not cause any risk.
Thanks. Im glad to assist you to guys.:
Can I use precisely the same trick if Im using Office 365?
Thanks to the very useful tip. But after sometime, I had difficulties with file associations - when I click Word document, or Excel Spreadsheet, or PowerPoint deck, it never opened. I had to begin respective application Word, Excel, etc. after which choose the file I desire to open. Upon checking I found that I found 2 versions of Office in this little PC, both 2013 and 2010. So I needed to uninstall both and re-install. I was very surprised how Office 2010 version was installed in this little PC. I sort of figured out that Windows Update went ahead and installed SP2 of Ofiice2010 which may have brought back that old version and caused the matter. Now I am careful to manually control Windows Updates in order to avoid installing any updates for Office 2010. Windows update will not be smart. Just because I have installed Picture Manager from Office 2010, it installs all updates for Office 2010.
Thank you a lot s working very fine.
thanks veeery much. That generally seems to have done the secret to success!
Thanks for ones guidance.
I had plenty of problem caused by lack of this method. I solved it with the remedy and version 2003.
Works the same manner described. Thank you a whole lot for this wonderful workaround. As all people have mentioned here, I am not sure why Microsoft would opt to remove a real useful program.
Actually, ever since I think over it, I do know why. They want everyone to switch towards the APP format for programs. They needs to have realized in the event the Start Menu fiasco started and prompting the making of 8.1. I am not sure who their focus group is, but clearly it isn't someone who uses windows on the regular basis.
Thanks again to the help.
Worked like a dream. You are the man! Thank you
Fantastic Guys! Thanks one million!
Thank you, many thanks, appreciate it, thanks a lot. For us old guys realistically work to learn something and obtain used with it this did the actual. I am so glad I found this post.
Thank you for the simple solution. Like a great number of others here I am struggling Microsoft Office 2013 and Windows 8.1, oh for your good old days when I understood my computer and infrequently it understood me, now I think that its landed in this little desk from another planet. Ive lost the ability to get able to perform things quickly lastly this morning after a couple of hours of downloading one rubbish app after another, I was reduced to real tears of frustration, after that friend sent me your link and, voila, all back and tickety boo!
Thanks VG for that great suggestion.
In comparison to its SIBs and RSs comments, I too am anxious about going ahead with 2010 updates as offered including Service Pack 2.
Have decided to refrain from doing so, until hearing further comments by you. There is enough bloatware around to slow up my computer without adding into it!
Thank you significantly for having this system has been making me nuts!!
Fantastic! What a lifesaver. And extremely easy for that technology challenged!! Thanks heaps.
That was wonderful thanks a lot VG, like other readers I was annoyed with MS dropping Picture manager, photo gallery is OK less useful or as intuitive
Let me add my note of gratitude! Your step by step instructions were excellent! And I am sooo pleased to have this easy-to-use and familiar photo editing tool back after installing Office 2013 and finding it missing. Thanks again!
Thank you a whole lot for this. Very generous of yourself to share you knowledge this
Thank you a whole lot!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought a new computer and was devastated because I couldnt fix my pics like I am employed to. Worked like no bodies business!!!!! August 23, 2014
This is what I need! Excellent work! Please thanks! Take care.
Tanx for you askvg. I succesfully achieved it.
Thank you for these particular instructions. As I hate the either complex or rudimentary tools on Mac and PC I missed this system badly after upgrading to 2013. After the many Picture Manager offers all functions I might need however, not too many even more of which Im grateful. It keeps this software easy and light.
This didn't work to me with organization 2003. Could not find Picture Manager. Any suggestions? Thanks with this walk through.
Thank you on your website!!
This was FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much for your help - I really dont recognize how Id cope without Picture Manager !!
Thank you greatly for this post. Picture Manager is often a vital tool to my work and from now on I can still have fun with this even with Office 2013
Thank you! It worked like a dream. The Picture Manager is actually the best photo viewer around. In its absence from Office 2013 I tried many more and nothing can be as easy to make use of for just basic editing and viewing. All other Microsoft option is not intuitive. I guess I should not surprised Microsoft eliminated one among their truly great applications from your customer viewpoint. I used a workplace 2007 license.
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! I recently got a whole new computer with MS Office 2013 and still have been beyond frustrated at not having this method, along with their substitute Photo Gallery is very useless. I used my 2007 installation disks and it also worked perfectly. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am unhappy so it wasnt included, however, your tip helped so significantly. Thank you!
Happy Dance! Thank you a whole lot.
Thank you with the instruction! However the draw back is the fact that after inatallation the system is going to be prompting for ALL the Office 2010 Yes, they could be turned off manually but it is often a bit of a
Worked as advertised. Thanks for your help!
Definitely appreciate the feeling. Thank you greatly.
Thanks a thousand! As a 74 yr old and use to Picture Manager there was clearly no way I could get my head around the newest program which include Office 2013. Why does Microsoft get rid of such handy programs? Its crazy!
VG, Can you believe? Sounds odd, but I still love to have the Imaging put in Windows 7! That was also an excellent and small put in Windows 2000. So any way to make use of it?
Did you are trying to copy its EXE file from Windows 2000 to Windows 7?
VG, this is such a major help for me personally. It is better to view what askvg needs to say than it is usually to curse the darkness!
Yes. I was even utilizing it on Windows XP previously however its not working on Windows 7 64 bit. In XP I could install Imaging by right-clicking around the file and selecting install. Maybe I need to edit the inf file to really make it compatible with Windows 7.
