if you might have to pay the entire retail price. Office 2013 doesn't offer enough improvements to take within the hassle of moving to the modern version which I deliberately didn't call upgrading. If you're already with all the Office 2010 suite, deliberate carefully about both cash outlay and also the tweaking it will take to acquire you back on the customizations you enjoy.

I installed Office 2013 Professional upon an ASUS laptop computer having a fresh Windows 7 Home Premium OS install, a 1 hour.3 GHZ processor and 4 GB RAM 64-bit environment.
At installation, I was promoted to first remove my existing Office 2010 suite. After this, installing of Office 2013 took approximately 10 mins. Although cosmetic changes appear inside user interface mostly in the flattening of controls within the toolbars, the entire presentation is going to be familiar to users of Office 2010.
Hint: if you've many commands placed with your Office 2010 applications Quick Access Toolbars, export them prior to uninstall. You can later import them in the 2013 programs. Why this couldnt be scripted in the 2013 install process in conjunction with removal with the earlier version is separate question.
Microsoft claims an array of additional features in Office 2013. Firstly I like using Office products. I enjoy their functionality. In my time however I have groused like all the others about The Ribbon and seriously contemplated the cost with the 2013 suite as well as 365 subscription brethren. But having used the 2013 edition inside an office environment, the familiarity AND improvements are worthy. These are my thoughts after having a month.
Cosmetically, the eliminating window borders and flattening the Ribbon is good enough aesthetically that there may be noticeable change when switching forwards and backwards with 2010 Office. Using Office on Windows 7 is great. Using it on Windows 8 may be the generation jump that has been akin to 2010 on Windows 7 as compared to 2007. Colour on tabs differentiates anyone programs.
Functionally, you are able to save directly to Sky Drive if you might be on Windows 8. Sharing files via email, myspace or instant message can be a cinch. Receipient gets access via skydrive.
There is often a lovely Read mode in Word which removes most editing tools and reflows content into columns. Those documents sent by attachments is usually read PDF style.
