Microsofts customer relationship management CRM package is currently out in its third revision. The new edition is a bit more stable, better to navigate around, and has now numerous extra features that previous users have suggested.
This book covers introducing Dynamics CRM 3.0 on the viewpoint of the items you might call the systems administrator. That is, this book is with the person who has the task of starting, configuring, maintaining and particularly customizing the package to suite the requirements your company. It presumes that you might have at least some experience of Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory service, and SQL Server. Because on the web orientation for remote technique system, some idea of XML files is necessary. This is not the finish user book.
The book is categorised into three parts: Part I is on Configuration and Settings. Dynamics CRM is certainly a flexible system. Using this flexibility without setting up so many options the conclusion user gets confused is an element of the challenge on the administrator.
Part II is on customization and includes the input, reporting and workflow areas.
Part III is on extended the capabilities at either the server end or perhaps the client side from the system in addition to working with outside applications.
A CD is included together with the book containing a time limited version with the software.
This book is determined to become the Bible on Dynamics CRM.

Ive looking on for a thorough book addressing the technical information on Microsoft CRM for quit some time. There continues to be an enormous vacuum for all those of us left out from the cold, attempting to implement Microsoft CRM for your business but can not leverage this product simply from a sheer insufficient insightful documentation.
This book fills that vacuum nicely.
For those attempting to learn the best way to leverage Microsoft CRM with your business, here is your book.
This is really a great reference book for the people charged with configuring, customizing and extending Microsoft CRM Version 3.0 in order to meet the needs of your or maybe your clients business.
It includes a lot of real-world examples, and code snippets which can be used being an aid to understanding.
I think it is was also a terrific resource in preparing for your Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Customization exam CRM-30-422.
Working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 edition is quicker to understand and look for what you are in search of. I have implemented another type of CRM and I realize its well written even from your viewpoint someone who is often a Business Analyst and never a Systems Administrator. Although, you will require systems administrator privileges to putting together and configuring time limited software around the CD included together with the book and you also need understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange Server.
Because Microsoft Dynamics ERP can make extensive using it Microsofts CRM is often a valuable tool to enhancing the business users experience and productivity. Ultimately, learning the way to provide CRMs robustness towards the end user in the helpful manner and easily navigated will probably be the challenge with the Business Analyst and Developer. Hopefully, most administrators will still only role out CRM rules based on a list of defined guidelines per work functions or just as one application indicate. Ad hoc CRM changes could make a difficult operational and user environment.
I suggest, extending the capabilities at either the buyer side or server end for utilizing outside applications that has a Business Analyst or Developer to keep up productivity.
This book can be a terrific resource for System Administrators, implementers, and consultants. It is NOT a How to work with Microsoft CRM book. For that purpose, I recommend Microsoft CRM 3 for Dummies.
Part 1, Configuration and Settings, covers the standard settings that should be addressed when Microsoft CRM is installed. This section applies primarily to system administrators and implementers.
Part 2, Customization, covers those items that can be customized, including Entities, Reports, and Workflow. This section applies primarily to system administrators and implementers.
Part 3, Extending Microsoft CRM, builds upon the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Software Development Kit SDK. It provides terrific examples on the can be done with Microsoft CRM using programming and includes the code. This section applies primarily to programmers.
The book is easy to see, plus the examples have become helpful. Throughout the books are little-known tips and traps to stop.
In my personal, this can be a must-have resource for admins, implementers, and consultants.
Very helpful book - Gives the reader a definative idea with the items can be done/customized achievable powerful software. I recommend it!
A great step by step guide! Easy to adhere to even for not experienced persons.
An excellent text for explaining the inner workings of CRM with very practical descriptions of how you can do customizations that the consultants still did not achieve.
In particular the description of sitemaps and tips on how to manipulate the was invaluable. A simple XML edit as well as the navigation UI was dramatically improved.
If you would like to really get how CRM works as well as the opportunities and restrictions that go your this is often a recommended read. However it can be a fairly technical text if you arent of these inclination buy it for ones tame techie instead! ;-
This is often a good book when coming to grips with rolling out CRM. It has a lots of info on making system customizations that assist in getting CRM to come up with exactly what you will need. Read more

My company is testing a distribution of Microsoft CRM 3.0 client to Outlook 2007. It installs as intended on several desktop machines, however, if I try to deploy to just one of several Dell Latitude D830 laptops, I have the following:
The program can terminate.
This occurs following the license agreement and then other supporting programs Framework 1.1 SP1 have already been installed.
All the machines involved are running Win XP Pro SP 2. The application log just reports which the Installation failed. Im installing from your original a similar one that works inside a desktop fails when used about the laptop.
Anyone know very well what this error code describes? I cant look for a consistent answer.
The member who asked this question verified this comment provided the remedy that solved their problem.
Apparently this is usually a software conflict directly connected with Symantec Endpoint Protection that only asserts itself in my laptops configuration.
If you uninstall Symantec, you are able to install CRM, then reinstall the herpes virus software.
