Well, we also recently purchased a used computer designed for him for making his videos on. That was OUR mistake since we should have look at the info. more clearly. We are running OSX 10.4.11 and Quicktime 7.6.4 on the Mac G4 tower and so are having difficulty running this system. We see ever since the IstopMotion uses a G5 or more computer. We contacted Boinx Support, who will be very helpful furthermore, they informed me that: yes, it can run using a G4 but you might have to make sure the graphics card works iwth that it will only work with a G4 with Radeon 9600 which unfortunately ours does not have.
The software program does clearly suggest that the correct system requirements but Amazon made a mistake in its listing. Please note this contradiction. I will contact Amazon myself so hopefully if you're reading this you're confused by my review, if Amazon corrected the challenge.
Otherwise, since we all do have a 2nd computer while using correct requirements hardly an optimal situation since that will be the adults computer, he may be able to work with it from time to time when the allowed

This product is effective on Mac. I have been able to generate my own clay motion show making use of this product. The downfall to the program is that you could have to buy another license so that you can import sound and stream it are now living in IStop. That costs another 60 on the cost.
