I bought this printer with regards to a year ago to print labels for the home business. All our inkjet printed labels were fading too fast to trade our product. I have printed labels, party invitations, pictures, etc. on label paper, cardstock and regular paper. Everything looks great and professional. Very easy to work with printer. Also, I am still with all the original toner cartridges that had it. I just ordered a different black cartridge but I probably wont ought to replace it for an additional week or two. I bought this printer to restore my 14 year-old Hp LJ 4MP. I assumed the CP1215 could be capable of doing a similar things my old one did plus more in color.
My immediate need ended up being to print out shower invites. The card stock was inside limits of HPs recommendations, no thicker compared to a 4x6 card. The printer would print 1 invite, then error out with misprint. After twenty or so minutes of ensuring that I removed all of the tabs and protectors that HP ships with and ensuring this model supported 4x6 card stock, I found methods to get the most of my stock printed. I had to press the resume button, causing it to reinitialize the warm-up sequence and print. Took half an hour to do 30 invites.
This printer seems fine to print every single day stuff. But if you print specialty paper, size and type, take note it might not handle the paper well.

We have two computers, a PC as well as a Mac laptop. For the price, this sounded like a great option since we wanted a color laser printer. Be aware that this printer is NOT Mac compatible. HP doesn't supply a Mac driver, nor is certainly one readily available on-line.

Wow, Amazon is selling this at the great affordable and I am happy with what I got. This printer is my first laser and color to boot which is very impressive in terms from the quality of graphics and text output. The printer includes enough ink to listing 750 pages at normal mode printing. Then the cartridges are spendy but could have enough ink for 1400 pages for full cartridges 2200 pages for your black cartridge. There are 4 cartridges required with the printer, each costs around 65 each.
I think this could be far less expensive than ink printers when having a long term view. One neat feature would be the printer software programs are well designed and will show you exactly how many pages each cartridge has left remaining prior to a ink runs dry.
Very quiet when printing as well as the quality is fantastic, even so the printer itself is fairly hefty and surprised me at what size a footprint it proved to have. Make sure you have a big space because of this printer. I bought this model 15 days ago and have absolutely been instructed to give up on it. It paper jams in a 60% plus rate, certainly nothing Ive tried is able to resolve the situation. Different paper; same result. Calibrations; No difference. Adjust paper slides; No go. I will point out that when it does print without jamming the high quality is beautiful. Unfortunately, the jamming occurs so frequently as to render it non-functional. I do not know whether mine was obviously a lone lemon, or whether the condition extends towards the entire model range. Regardless, Im disappointed.

It will print. It can print good full color photo images. But it usaully doesnt. The problem is color alignent. Its calibration mechanism is ineffectual. So more regularly full color photo images look dull and blurry.
I wanted a printer for just two tone black white not grayscale docs 90% on the time and full color photo images 10% with the time. This is NOT the best printer for your type of usage. Heres why. Try this. Buy 4 new HP toner cartridges for 300. Next, set the printer driver to Black White printing ONLY. Now, print 20 black white docs daily for 6 months. Your black toner is going to be exhausted. Now heres the fun part. Your color cartridges will probably be exhausted at the same time. This just isn't pilot error. This can be a serious design defect. If only black was being printed, along with cartridges must not be consumed EVEN IF THE DRIVER SETTING WAS FOR FULL COLOR. But of course it wasnt.
Do not buy this printer. HP ought to be ashamed of themselves. What does it let you know that the printer will NOT print black only UNLESS the colour cartridges will also be installed AND have toner. So it's unsuitable for virtually every task, BW or color, or both. It sucks by any means three. I was fooled by the affordable point to the printer. Now I know better and I is unable to trust the HP brand.

This driver uses Ghostscript to complete all from the heavy lifting image processing. There are five major components for the foo2hp printer driver.
