I had previously used Home Designer Suite Ver. 8 and wished to upgrade. I couldnt locate my old installation media with no longer had the item installed. I sent a contact to Chief Architect; Sales Rep. Jenna Sloyka found my old registration information and offered me a generous upgrade rebate. Prior to using Chief Architect, I also bought and installed the competing Broderbund and Punch products, but neither of these met me. After using Chief Architect, I wouldnt bother even trying everything else. I think about this a superior product and also a really outstanding company which to do business.
The good: This is awesome software that permit me to design and model my new kitchen wonderfully.
The bad: Watch out. You dont really own many. Instead, the ChiefArchitect central servers permit you to install it only using one machine during a period, plus you've got to uninstall it before reinstalling it, in case your machine crashes otherwise you have to wipe your hard drive then youre plain doomed because they think you've kept it installed. All that despite their software phoning home every a couple weeks.
