To try and remedy the situation, I tried a clean boot, I tried while using the Windows 7 readiness tool, I tried downloading the updates manually they wouldnt install, with error C80003FA, I tried while using fixit tool to reset windows update in the aggressive and non-aggressive mode, I tried manually resetting windows update, I ran sfc/scannow which found errors which it couldnt correct, I tried an in-place upgrade, and ultimately I tried a clean install.
After the clean install, broke else installed, it wouldnt install updates, again failing with Error Code 8E5E03FA. It installs office updates fine, it installs other ms software updates fine, it installs driver updates fine, nevertheless it doesnt manage to be capable of install windows updates in any way. Ok after months when attemping I have finally got this error sorted and heres how.
1. Restart your pc into safe mode.
2. Login while using Administrators account
3. In Start, Accessories, right click Command Prompt, and then click on Run as Administrator
5. Press enter and wait for your computer to convey its stop this service
6. Close DOS and stop in Windows Safe Mode.
7. Go into My computer and navigate in your Windows directory
8. Find the folder windowssoftware distribution and take off the contents, although not the folder its self
9. Then navigate to windowssystem32catroot2 folder and take the content of the folder
10. Right click about the catroot2 folder and rename it to catroot3
11. Restart windows and login as normal.
12. Once logged into windows run Windows Update on the Start menu. Download and install updates as normal.
13. Nortons Internet 2008 may charge a fee permission for Live updates to visit online, depends on your own setting with Norton.

I don't believe I am infected or hijacked. I ran the MSRT full scan, which detected no problems. I also ran the whole spyware scan which reported no spyware. I ran the whole system virus scan which has a boot cd virus scanner before windows had loaded. It reported no viruses.
Also, the symptoms if you ask me dont match infection. I would expect contamination to prevent all windows updates, not some. Right now you will discover 32 updates to become installed. Trying to set up them one after the other has allowed me to pick out 12 out from the initial 44 and get a successful installation. The remaining updates fail for 8E5E0442, 8E5E03FA, or 80246007. Errors 8E5E0442 and 80246007 manage to occur in the event the update is downloaded but can not be installed while 8E5E03FA occurs if the update cant be downloaded or installed.

IMHO it doesnt matter in case you dont believe the computers infected or hijacked. At this point, you will need to remove the possibility.
1. Stick with MS Support;
2. Format the HDD do another clean install of Win7 exactly per this:
Back-up any data none ones should be considered 100% trustworthy at this stage then format the HDD execute a clean install of Windows. Please note a Repair Install AKA in-place upgrade will NOT fix this!

Thanks again for the response. When I said around my previous post that I had run the total MSRT scan, and a complete spyware scan, and the full pre-boot virus scan, which was ruling out the opportunity. I dont have to do a complete format to become sure when every tool I have run both in and out of of Windows tells me that Im not infected/hijacked.
But in the event I did get a different hard drive and did perform a clean fresh format and install onto it. The errors have begun on the very first try and load updates. It gives error C80003FA or intermittently hangs at Checking for.

I bought Windows 7 Pro 32-bit in regards to year ago and I only received one disc, the 32-bit disc, with my purchase. So my question for you is, how do I upgrade to some 64-bit version of Windows 7 Professional?

OEM copies tend not to entitle the purchaser to both versions on the software. You should purchase an upgrade license retail copy or full license copy of Windows 7 Professional. OK so after more research here I came up using a solution for my errors, I found several posts about corrupted DVDs and even HDDs. I tested a similar image file on 2 separate drives for the same computer I designed a duplicate drive when my issues started, so naturally I thought it turned out the download issue until I used HASHCALC.
I downloaded and came up with setup disk on my small HP DV7 laptop and the would be the 7 pro retail 64 bit At this point my strategy is installing the updates.

Where to pun intended. I had an answer to Windows 10 after hearing people say its much like windows 7 its awesome my hope was quickly destroyed after I clicked around the amazing new start button. You basically contain the ugly, useless tile screen from windows 8 placed in a box with your desktop, not just a true start menu. The start menu consist of stupid, useless, ugly tile start screen apps, all apps list and in case you scroll every one of the way towards the bottom from the list you can find programs and accessories which would be the only thing that needs to be there inside the first place.
Microsoft would need to give up within the stupid useless, app garbage on desktops. The search bar next on the start menu is laggy and describes web search engine results etc. even when you simply search for any file with your pc, the relocation of simple features/settings is dumb and hiding things behind app style Windows 8 junk isn't cool.
Cortana sucks, again the search is laggy and also to even use it you will need to basically let this course monitor every single move and keystroke. I too am grossly disappointed with Windows is just like a wolf in disguise.
