Good for drawing flowcharts for software. The standard version contains the templates useful for firmware. Able to export to Visio 2002. 30 days trial offered from Microsoft. Not as simple to use as Smart Draw, but Visio will not have problems staying on grid and should be full screen on large monitors, so I switched. Only program I have that wont print to Adobe Acrobat writer 5.0.

I tried to generate same diagram which I created in Visio and SmartDraw too in MagicDraw and was very impressed using its UI and correctness and simplicity of use. Does what I expected. The only better thing will be a Mac version. For those Mac users, it truely does work perfectly on my small Parallels installing of XP. I found no incompatibilities or issues. Had major problems installing this system onto a Vista machine that already had Office2007 installed. Had to spend a couple of hours with Microsoft to obtain it loaded. Then it wouldnt accept my old files from previous Visio. Worked with Microsoft for 6 hours about this one. It turns out that Visio 2007 does NOT continue with the file naming convention for Windows Had to alter the names of most my old files before it'd accept.
