Im another disenchanted user of Windows 7 in relation to photos. I was still being happily using Microsoft Picture It 2001 and intensely unhappy that I can not use it. I am also extremely disgusted about the inability use good programs due to Microsoft changes thaat make programs incompatible. I have many pictures saved inside Picture it and Digital Image Pro format that will never open without these programs. You dont even take into consideration that some take incomes that do not allow them to purchase new programs each and every time Microsoft updates windows. I would pay money for an update whether or not this were available because I have purchased Photoshop Elements and still have never had the success that I had with all the other programs. Their flexability and ease of use together with their many wonderful benefits are the reason I bought them. With all of the disgruntled people the truth is on this I am sure there are several many more, couldnt something be exercised to remedy this?

I happen to be using Digital Image Standard 2006 on my small Windows 7 computer without issue. I am an MSN premium subscriber, and Picture It! 9 was the fact that was originally with my subscription. Digital Image 2006 was an upgrade. When I purchased my laptop, I installed my MSN premium features, and this software was still from the extra software download. I dont think its been updated, mind you, but I love this system. I like to make photo calendars, no other program Ive tried allows me the options this method does.
Im unsure what the differences are, between our programs, but what Im running works all right.
You all seem computer savvy, thus, making this probably a dumb question, Have you tried the entire compatibility mode thing? Or is it that you simply cant install it from the first place?
