Thanks for your great tip, I arrange it in Outlook 2003 and delay pills work great. It helps to have plenty of memory. I did several mass deletions and Outlook froze while finishing the operation however responded normally. The searching and sorting is less difficult now.
A minor negative thing is that using IMAP forces someone to use a brand new, separate data file. I used to own my POP gmail and home ISP emails dump for the same data file, which just isn't possible now unless I have gmail grab home emails automatically. So far, IMAP is actually cool.

I m using Outlook 2007 to reach my Gmail account via IMAP on Windows XP SP2 operating security patches installed. Recently I did start to experience an odd problem. Actually, I think it s an element which I should have inadvertently enabled, but I can t figure out the best way to undo it.

The first mail in Spam folder is selected, and is also downloaded automatically.
That e-mail is tagged as spam by Outlook and moved into Junk E- mail folder which may be created automatically by Outlook when I first come up with Gmail IMAP account.
Then the choices changes again, another e-mail is at Spam folder is selected, and it is downloaded automatically.
That e-mail is tagged as spam by Outlook, too, and moved into Outlook s Junk E-mail folder.
This goes on similar to this until every single mail in Gmail Spam folder is gone to live in Outlook s Junk E-mail folder.
