My children need to read to type. When I got a new program, I went back and forth between Mavis Beacon and Typing Instructor. I finally decided upon Typing Instructor then had the chance use this system as well. They are different.

Ive been using different versions of Mavis Beacon since second grade, and thanks in part for the great instruction and use I received around my early years, I am a good typist. However, this specific version had nothing that resembles the older versions I remember and I think it is incredibly clunky and frustrating to utilize. I was hoping this method would help my 10 and 12-year-old sons to boost their keyboarding skills, but here i will discuss the problems we ran into:
1. Installation went fine on our older 2007 iMac running Snow Leopard no complaints there.
2. This program is PERSONAL edition, meaning progress for merely one person will probably be saved. So unless you are one person, you would like the family edition.
3. One of my sons hates video clips and prefer to learn by doing, but this method requires someone to watch every video all the way in which to the finish posture, finger positioning etc before it will help you move on towards the next part.

Great program I went from typing about 25 words each minute to typing 45 inside course of any few weeks. I highly recommend this system if you wish to master typing quickly. Through the use of the program I have been able to have my typing quicken to 65 words for each minute.

Zero problem downloading the appliance, it took longer to set up, at some point i was worried, since it seemed to say goodbye somewhere around 70% installation, nevertheless it installed not an issue, the serial number does need for being manually put in the initial time, but Amazon helps it be easy to discover the serial number. Im very unhappy with this device. This download would not work together with Windows 7, it says it does nonetheless it doesnt. DONT BUY THIS DOWNLOAD IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7. I have tried from changing the recording card, color depth and also the screen resolution. Nothing worked. I called Encore according to Amazon and so they wont assist me because this is a more mature product. I was told to visit online and filled in some forms. Who has time for those this? This isn't good support services at all and Encore should certainly be a little more helpful. BTW I wish I didnt need to give them a star

I love the games. They work you hard to maintain. Typing is improving.
After one use, this course stopped working. It does not register laptop keyboards keys which can be pressed correctly.
