Despite the tough reviews that Ive seen, I decided to provide this a try. I am a proud Windows 7 user. By the way here is the platinum edition on the 25th anniversary edition. There was no cd key or code on this version. It just installs so you run it. And its also mac compatible. I lack a mac so I cant say if itll run using that.

This will be the second version of Mavis Beacon that any of us have purchased plus the same software bug exists. As you set goals for your self, eventually right around when you are typing near 50 WPM, the software program flips all your stats into negitive numbers. There is no method to climb out in the hole. Youll don't know where youre at from here on given it starts to count up from your negitive number so you start going backwards towards zero. Very frustrating for the kids who depend upon acurate numbers with regards to progress reports in education. This bug 's been around in their software for more than 5 years now where there does not look like any have to fix it. They won't refund your hard earned money, they merely sucker you into buying another version plus the problem still exists. Weve duplicated this challenge on three different computers within my house. Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. All Operating Systems were fully patched up. Its not our computers. This program just isn't compatible with Windows 7 inside the first FYI Windows 7 is just not mentioned in the supported OSes head.
