Just experienced a quick take a look at version 2010 and my local petrol station remains showing but flats have been about the site for any least couple of years!
In France the A19 just north of Orleans to Les Bretons continues to be open a bit but has NOT been enabled in AR2010.

IMHO it requires on average two or three years for virtually any change to show up in navigable maps, regardless of what product. Online maps, which might update more frequently than software in love with DVDs, could possibly have updates somewhat sooner. Printed maps are definitely the first to demonstrate new streets, but mapping software has more features.
The best Microsoft is capable of doing is to license map data through the most reliable map data providers, and that has become done.
