I am setting up a item loan system in microsoft access. My system have access 2002. I am almost done, simply that I am stuck. My inventory recycles those things issued out such as its only on loan. So those items comes back being returned Library System Theory I need help about how to not double issue items. All those things are that has a unique serial number. I need assistance with issue out and return part. Do get back if you ask me. Thank You.

You see, My staff issues those things out. However I dont want my staff to again key from the same serial number again, whether human mistake or purposely. I must do just like an error msg if those things is already issued out it cant be issued out again unless it continues to be returned. So I want the lend our returned mechanism. This is where I need ease. Thanks.
Add another field like Issued or Borrowed having a Yes/No datatype. If the value from the field becomes Yes make a condition to never issue it again.
