I use a clean install of Windows 8.1 RTM.
As mentioned within the release notes of patch C, Windows 8.1 is supported.

There is not any way to do the installation, not just in compatibility mode.

What would be the ETA to the new installer? I hope Kaspersky staff is checking the forums
Today I have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 official release. However, Kaspersky Pure didn t work anymore. Upgrade from Pure 2 to Pure 3 didn t act as well. This is
1. PURE 3.0 could be the starting point.
2. Update PURE 3.0 databases, reboot. This yields PURE 3.0 Patch C.
3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 along with PURE 3.0 C
Installer containing patch C integrated should be forthcoming, sometime from the future.

2. Update PURE 3.0 databases, reboot. This yields PURE 3.0 Patch C.
3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 over PURE 3.0 C
Installer which has patch C integrated should be forthcoming, sometime within the future.
I needed to uninstall Pure 3.0 for getting Windows 8.1 update working. Now, I cannot install Pure 3.0 as windows 8.1 says it isn t compatible. I now longer have Kaspersky installed - - what can you do?

3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 in addition to PURE 3.0 C

But as I stated before this can be not a Windows 8 install having an upgrade to 8.1 but a clean Windows 8.1 install RTM.
Which is claimed being supported.
This is MAJOR problem for some. If I am likely to install Windows 8.1, you claim that I install Windows 8 before and than perform a That is merely absurt.
The C patch is definitely released very lateon the morning of the Windows 8.1 release for the public. There ought to be a patched version from the installer out allready.
Let s just hope it is a priority on the list.
I d just like a more informative response than sometime from the future. This is my first Kaspersky product and my first foray into paid security suites so far my knowledge about Pure 3.0 and Windows 8.1 is nonexistent.
I d just like a more informative response than sometime inside future. This is my first Kaspersky product and my first foray into paid security suites therefore far my exposure to Pure 3.0 and Windows 8.1 may be nonexistent.
I agree. I were forced to uninstall Pure 3 and I now use a pc using a Pure 3 subscription no internet protection
Like many Kaspersky Pure 3.0 users on Windows 8 machines, I upgraded from Windows 8 towards the official Release to Market
version of Windows 8.1. In order to complete the Windows installation, I were required to refresh my Windows 8 before I could install
Windows 8.1 RTM. After doing this, Windows installed flawlessly.
The alternative then is usually to reload any applications which Windows had to remove as part with the refresh. Kaspersky Pure was
one of these applications. Please note that I had kept Pure 3.0 properly updated if this was running under Windows 8.
Under Windows 8.1, I attempted to re-install from the Kaspersky-provided backup CD which as you can imagine, doesn t include
any patches or updates. I attempted to handle the installation in Compatibility Mode for both Window 8 and Windows 7 without any luck.
When that operation failed, I removed what fragments from the software remained. Next, I came towards the Kaspersky site and
and any incompatibility can be resolved. 2 I also searched some other patches files that may update the
software package pre-installation to deliver compatibility. All I find are instructions to put on a patch after I install the application form.
The instruction that applying installing Pure and updating simply will not are one cannot install Pure inside the first place.
Patch C it appears to be, can just be installed AFTER you've gotten successfully installed Pure. And Pure - - in versions provided online - -
will never install as it's got not been updated being compatible. You cannot update what we cannot install.
which includes the patch and produces compatibility with Windows 8.1 RTM. That has become the official relieve Windows and Kaspersky needs to support it.
So please, update the root code to add the modifications created by the patch on the base software and to discharge new build which IS COMPATIBLE
with Windows 8.1 RTM making sure that users as i am can install the software program we purchased and now cannot use.

The 16th/17th has to be great day release a the 8.1 compatible installer, considering Microsoft didn t surprise you with 8.1 along with the release date continues to be known for a bit. Probably might be a good idea to beta test an installer through the preview of 8.1.
Installer with integrated patch is planned for the middle of November.
Like several people I updated my Pure within the 18th, restarted my computer, then updated to 8.1. According towards the upgrade instructions within the Patch C topic this certainly will have worked but it really didnt. Now I am stuck with no protection I spend on because of faulty instructions, an ineffective patch, and/or Kaspersky not providing a practical download link for Pure on 8.1. Will I find some sort of refund, will my protection be prolonged to the time it takes through the 18th until a real time as Kaspersky allows me to utilize the protection I purchase. This is ridiculous

I am inside the same boat. I have installed Windows 8.1 through DVD install, not via an update of Windows 8.
We cannot even install Pure in any respect. Is this likely for being amended in the near future? My paid subscription is planning to lapse the following month and I d prefer to continue using Kaspersky, although not if I can't be assured that the safety I covered will be provided.
I am seriously considering moving to presenting Bitdefender that's Windows 8.1 ready.

as you suggest, the idea means a chance for everyone freely express their own thoughts and concerns.
So far I haven t read any irate or rude comments, just messages posted by very frustrated people looking for
straight answers. Such that suggesting something will likely be happening from the first decade of December might be
hilarious to some but it really s less than funny to individuals seeking a solution or answer to their problem. So ok, i'll thank you
ever so politely on your comment. Those of us who've moved on from 2000 and therefore are making the leap into 2014
with Windows 8.1 many thanks for commitment and dedication for the anachronistic Windows XP. We re hoping that

I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 with no patch being installed via update for Pure 3.0. The security software is currently ineffective which is incompatible with Win 8.1. I have experimented with uninstall Pure 3.0 in order to setup the trial copy of IS 2014 which I am told is suitable for Win 8.1 - until an updated installer is provided from Kaspersky and I can reinstall Pure 3.0 - Pure 3.0 won t uninstall and I get Windows error message that aborts the uninstall process so I can t install the trial copy of IS 2014. The net result is actually I have no security software running on my small PC. Can anyone suggest a answer to this?
To those interested, I submitted an investigation with tech support to confirm the info that this patch will be out in December also to see how this lapse in paid coverage could be rectified. Here will be the response:

That s Kaspersky s advice? Use the 4 weeks trial as well as the product we ve already taken care of should be working from the time the it s over? I ve been using a few for awhile now but that is unacceptable. We all perceived to know when Windows 8.1 was developing, that which was the holdup on Kaspersky s end? Although Kaspersky apparently supports only retail versions of and also the upcoming Windows 8.1 release mid-October, I believe that - as being a highly valued security company - Kaspersky ought to support also the RTM-bits when officially released by Microsoft on TechNet/MSDN of Microsoft products making use of their product lineup.

One would feel that there is usually a release soon to become not day 1 I don t think anyone has AV for 8.1 yet, apart from Microsoft. but in a couple of monthly, you d be right. But this can be Kaspersky, so a release is slated for April produce means Q3 2014.
Frankly, I find April 2014 to get disgraceful. I have 25 licenses, and I am can not upgrade my users want . key piece of software packages are not ready.
Hopefully a beta with the new version will probably be available soon to help using the delay.
I would find April 2014 a disgraceful also. We are now moving the whole hardware to Windows 8.1 and merely got our Kaspersky license in September. Now the vast majority of our users dont have any protection on the website system on account of this if your update continues.
Wait, you deploy a brand new OS before checking application compatibility? And you think Kaspersky could be the problem? Seriously:/
We didn t. We had an exam laptop running the new update through to check its compatibility before deployment towards the company. Sorry to say your wrong with this one. We were intending on full deployment however.
Also an edit to the present post. Even though you think the problem isn t Kaspersky that s that you re wrong. Kaspersky Endpoint Protection is often a business software and we being a company depend upon it s protection therefore having compatibility issues of the main protection software without patch or temporary fix yet is often a disgrace but I do agree the time to create this type of fix or patch or full release is time consuming but there have been beta s available and seeing that a majority of protection suites really have compatiblity accessible for Windows 8.1 makes vid valid discussion point.

Still not? 4 months next post? KIS 2014 is not any option, firewall broken beyond usability won t block, allows traffic for Apps which do not just have rules defined, regardless of whether Trust Signed applications is disabled and KSN is deactivated and trusted group is scheduled to Prompt for Action for Public Network. KIS 2015 beta too buggy for the time being.
Firewall works again in 2015, nonetheless it crashes constantly and freeze up which leads to not able to start any new applications and blocks all traffic, prevents reboot until you hit reset on PC. So if 2013 doesn t focus on Win8.1, there isn't any usable solution yet. Why wasn t this fixed in every that time? Win 8.1 isn t that new and I assume how the problem was there with Win 8.0 too, as it s exactly the same code base as Win 8.1.
Any ETA when 2013 are going to be fixed?
KIS 2013 supports Windows 8.1, however, only upgrading from 8 8.1, as being the installer doesn t retain the patch which resolves 8.1 compatibility. There s no eta on updated installer, contact official support to find out more.

It is May a few months give or take Is there any update/movement with this? No offence but it is really ridiculous. The fix for Win 8.1 may be out for quite a little while, but unbelievably enough, after months and months they have still not been packaged into a practical installer. It is a very easy fix, provided there is some willingness to get it done, yet Kaspersky seems not to get bothered in any way. I fully appreciate how the focus is on KIS2014 and also the upcoming KIS2015, but there s hardly any excuse for failing to produce an updated installer after all this
The KIS2014 firewall is really a total disaster, buggy, unreliable and plain unusable. I used KIS for countless years, always being a power user with custom rules, but KIS2014 is simply hopeless. I would gladly downgrade from KIS to KAV and then use it in conjunction that has a third party firewall which actually asks me about and blocks an application when I configure it and tell it to acheive it, essential someone decided that downgrading at a more expensive KIS into a cheaper KAV mustn't be well, assured that I will not likely buy a separate KAV license so that you can do so
I found themselves uninstalling KIS2014 completely and ultizing instead the free Avast AV in partnership with Comodo s Personal Firewall. I just had enough in the useless KIS2014 firewall which drives me nuts. It is sad that folks are forced right into a position when they should give up Kaspersky altogether to be able to benefit coming from a proper/reliable firewall. The antivirus is fantastic, but because Kaspersky s misguided policy isn't to allow individuals downgrade from KIS to KAV totally free, to ensure that we can use an unauthorised firewall individuals choice in the event the KIS2014 one doesn t help us, and because the KIS2013 installer hasn t undergone an update either, I were forced to give up on Kaspersky completely. Way to retain customers
It is only sad, and I hope that Kaspersky realises that these are actively turning loyal users away. But such is
Sorry for your rant, it really is being made while using best intentions, but I am very disappointed in regards to the KIS firewall evolution in the past, culminating with KIS2014. I am extremely disappointed and intensely upset, with all the basic deficiency of support for KIS2013 after nearly a year, if this basically all depends upon an easy fix and insufficient willingness. Then again, the lowest amount of Kaspersky have to do, would be to allow disgruntled KIS users to downgrade at no cost to KAV and retain them as customers, but that door is firmly closed too, which can be a very ill planned policy that creates things worse.
All in all of the, I had enough and when things don t change soon, then its the perfect time to move away from Kaspersky.

This product is usually a total waste of income; wish I could send it back - dont buy it.
Thanks to Amazon in making a one-time exception permitting for a reimbursement. Much appreciated.
Thank you for the feedback.I was always wary of Anti Virus software simply because they seem to decelerate your computer simply because run within the background.
I have never had a worry with viruses, malware, etc., etc. I used to have always one application running in my Windows computer, though my Mac I was never too concerned about this kind of problems. I look at reviews about Kaspersky and chosen to try it on my small Mac. One day I was typing inside a banking website and mistyped the address. It took me with a website which had a show up message saying it took over my computer and I couldnt do one thing about it. The computer froze. I shut it down immediately and restarted it. Now I don't realize what would have happened if I didnt have Kaspersky but I did get a show up from Kaspersky saying an engaged threat was detected and removed and everything has become working fine so that you does decelerate my computer but very minimally. It slows it down when visiting new websites but and then, revisiting the web site again there isn't slow down. I still need my doubts but for your price and for that minimal performance degradation Ill watch it for the year and select if I should renew.
Thank you on your feedback.I began using Kapserky over the decade ago, but eventually grew frustrated while using lack of a usable interface and extremely absent support. So a short while ago, after excessive research, I changed to a different top-rated service. At first I was impressed from the constant presence of easy-to-reach customer satisfaction chat and also the interface was straightforward too. My experience went downhill from that point and for your next two years so this year I made a decision to give Kaspersky another make an attempt to Im impressed with all the changes made.
Unlike the opposite software I had been using, Kaspersky doesn't have any incessant chatter like pop-up renewal windows starting few months into service that could halt a chat or call, sometimes repeatedly a, without slowdown overall of devices. My experience has become that Kaspersky absolutely catches things the other program failed to and its already caught and disinfected one truly-bad bug that could happen to be disastrous. I find their notifications and warnings to become on point and when further action is essential, its swift and. I cant meet with whether support services has improved as I havent required to contact them, but thats a great change of pace.
I would liken their intend to seeing a fantastic physician whose bedside manner doesnt impress, but whose education and wisdom rank at the summit of their field. Even though they dont provide you with the warm and fuzzies, they absolutely have your back.
Thank you to your feedback.Customer service is within a word lazy. Lots of automatic replys sending you through hoops. But not some help or even the intent to assist. My experience wasn't a happy one. I threw in the towel eventually, dumped the whole thing and started over. A virus turned the Kaspersky off being a scanner. It acquired nothing to beside nothing following virus. After the dump, Kaspersky can scan and pick-up things again. Point is there may be only a whole lot lifespan for any person and simply so many hoops I will jump through.
Thank you for the feedback.Installed this on three unique all THREE of these suddenly lose wifi connectivity on Win 8.1. Wrote to their customer support because their safe money browser certificate fails for no apparent reason after which refuses to open website pages. The tech was absolutely useless - indicated that he'd escalate my issue to a different rep - and they also never got in to me before notifying me that they can closed the ticket caused by inactivity had they see the history, they may have realized these people were supposed to become getting back for me. Im uninstalling this on and on back for the good ol McAfee Total Protection suite I had on my small devices before I made a decision to give Kaspersky a exactly what a huge mistake this is! And a frustratingly expensive and useless one!
Thank you on your feedback. It is really a great program!!! It had fround 3 virus that Nortons had not grab on. IT IS A MUST HAVE SOFTWARE !!!!!!
Thank you for ones feedback.Correctly scans my Outlook emails and cleans or captures any incoming viruses. Outlooks spam settings are terrible, so using an antivirus that catches this really is essential for my offer. The interface is clean and easy to work with.
The drawback is Kasperskys virtual keyboard which just gets from the way and it is never explained, as well as the Safe Money popup and that is supposed to protect us on payment sites but is simply slow and annoying, and I expect a lot of people just turn it off as an alternative to use it.
