Windows 8.1 Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows, Not compatible

One would feel that there is usually a release potential not day 1 I don t think anyone has AV for 8.1 yet, besides Microsoft. but inside of a couple of per month, you d be right. But it is Kaspersky, so a release is slated for April over the internet means Q3 2014.
Frankly, I find April 2014 to become disgraceful. I have 25 licenses, and I am not able to upgrade my users just because a key software application is not ready.
Hopefully a beta with the new version is going to be available immediately to help while using delay.
I would find April 2014 a disgraceful too. We are now moving our hardware to Windows 8.1 and simply got our Kaspersky license in September. Now nearly all of our users dont have protection on the website system as a result if the update continues.
Wait, you deploy a brand new OS before checking application compatibility? And you think Kaspersky could be the problem? Seriously:/
We didn t. We had the test laptop to operate the new update on check its compatibility before deployment for the company. Sorry to say however wrong within this one. We were thinking about full deployment however.
Also an edit to this particular post. Even though you feel that the problem isn t Kaspersky that s the place you re wrong. Kaspersky Endpoint Protection is really a business software so we as a company be determined by it s protection and thus having compatibility issues of the main protection software without the need of patch or temporary fix yet is usually a disgrace but I do agree which the time to create this sort of fix or patch or full release is time consuming but there was beta s available and seeing that almost all protection suites totally have compatiblity intended for Windows 8.1 makes slideshow valid discussion point.

Today I have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 official release. However, Kaspersky Pure didn t work anymore. Upgrade from Pure 2 to Pure 3 didn t work at the same time. This is
1. PURE 3.0 would be the starting point.
2. Update PURE 3.0 databases, reboot. This yields PURE 3.0 Patch C.
3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 along with PURE 3.0 C
Installer containing patch C integrated will likely be forthcoming, sometime from the future.
Please understand the Important topics, located for the top of it, and with the top of other elements of this forum.
1. PURE 3.0 could be the starting point.
2. Update PURE 3.0 databases, reboot. This yields PURE 3.0 Patch C.
3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 in addition to PURE 3.0 C
Installer that's patch C integrated will likely be forthcoming, sometime inside future.
I needed to uninstall Pure 3.0 to obtain Windows 8.1 update working. Now, I cannot install Pure 3.0 as windows 8.1 says it isn t compatible. I now longer have Kaspersky installed - - what is usually done?
1. PURE 3.0 will be the starting point.
2. Update PURE 3.0 databases, reboot. This yields PURE 3.0 Patch C.
3. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 over PURE 3.0 C
Installer which has patch C integrated will likely be forthcoming, sometime within the future.
But as I stated before that is not a Windows 8 install through an upgrade to 8.1 but a clean Windows 8.1 install RTM.
Which is claimed to become supported.
This is MAJOR problem for most people. If I am likely to install Windows 8.1, you advise that I install Windows 8 before and than execute a That is definitely absurt.
The C patch is simply released very lateon the day on the Windows 8.1 release to your public. There really should be a patched version in the installer out allready.
Let s just hope this can be a priority on the list.
I d as being a more informative response than sometime inside future. This is my first Kaspersky product and my first foray into paid security suites so far my knowledge about Pure 3.0 and Windows 8.1 continues to be nonexistent.
I d such as a more informative response than sometime inside future. This is my first Kaspersky product and my first foray into paid security suites therefore far my exposure to Pure 3.0 and Windows 8.1 is nonexistent.
I agree. I were forced to uninstall Pure 3 and I now employ a pc having a Pure 3 subscription without internet protection
Like many Kaspersky Pure 3.0 users on Windows 8 machines, I upgraded from Windows 8 on the official Release to Market
version of Windows 8.1. In order to complete the Windows installation, I were required to refresh my Windows 8 before I could install
Windows 8.1 RTM. After the process, Windows installed flawlessly.
The following step then would be to reload any applications which Windows required to remove as part from the refresh. Kaspersky Pure was
one of people applications. Please note that I had kept Pure 3.0 properly updated if it was running under Windows 8.
Under Windows 8.1, I attempted to re-install coming from a Kaspersky-provided backup CD which as you can imagine, doesn t include
any patches or updates. I attempted to do the installation in Compatibility Mode for both Window 8 and Windows 7 without any luck.
When that operation failed, I removed what fragments with the software remained. Next, I came to your Kaspersky site and
and any incompatibility could well be resolved. 2 I also searched any patches files that might update the
software package pre-installation to deliver compatibility. All I find are instructions to use a patch after I install the application form.
The instruction that beginning from installing Pure after which updating simply will not serve as one cannot install Pure from the first place.
Patch C seems like, can just be installed AFTER you've got successfully installed Pure. And Pure - - in versions provided online - -
will not likely install as it's not been updated to become compatible. You cannot update what we cannot install.
which includes the patch and helps to create compatibility with Windows 8.1 RTM. That is actually the official launch of Windows and Kaspersky needs to support it.
So please, update the root code to add the modifications made through the patch for the base software and release a brand new build which IS COMPATIBLE
with Windows 8.1 RTM making sure that users as i am can install it we bought and now cannot use.

The 16th/17th would are actually a great day release a the 8.1 compatible installer, considering Microsoft didn t surprise all of us with 8.1 along with the release date continues to be known for a little while. Probably would happen to be a good idea to beta test an installer through the preview of 8.1.
Installer with integrated patch is planned within the middle of November.
Like a great many other people I updated my Pure about the 18th, restarted my computer, then updated to 8.1. According for the upgrade instructions within the Patch C topic this would have worked nevertheless it didnt. Now I am stuck with no protection I pay money for because of faulty instructions, an ineffective patch, and/or Kaspersky not providing an effective download link for Pure on 8.1. Will I acquire some sort of refund, will my protection be prolonged to the time it takes on the 18th until a real time as Kaspersky allows me to work with the protection I pay money for. This is ridiculous

I am inside the same boat. I have installed Windows 8.1 through DVD install, not via an update of Windows 8.
We cannot even install Pure by any means. Is this likely for being amended before i write again? My paid subscription is about to lapse the following month and I d wish to continue using Kaspersky, yet not if I can not be assured that this protection I paid for is going to be provided.
I am seriously considering moving to presenting Bitdefender that is Windows 8.1 ready.

I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 with no patch being installed via update for Pure 3.0. The security software is actually ineffective which is incompatible with Win 8.1. I have attemptedto uninstall Pure 3.0 in order to set up the trial copy of IS 2014 which I am told is appropriate for Win 8.1 - until an updated installer is provided from Kaspersky and I can reinstall Pure 3.0 - Pure 3.0 won t uninstall and I get Windows error message that aborts the uninstall process so I can t install the trial copy of IS 2014. The net result is actually I have no security software running on my small PC. Can anyone suggest a solution to the?
To those interested, I submitted a written report with tech support to make sure that the info that this patch will be out in December and also to see how this lapse in paid coverage can be rectified. Here may be the response:

For all affected customers, we apologize, and suggest installing Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 being a trial. The English language PURE 3.0, Windows 8.1 compatible version must be available ahead of the trial gets outdated.

That s Kaspersky s advice? Use the 30 days trial as well as the product we ve already bought should be working because of the time the it s over? I ve been using their items for awhile now but this can be unacceptable. We all appeared to know when Windows 8.1 was being released, the fact that was the holdup on Kaspersky s end? Do I get 1/12 over money I paid for your year since product they may be providing isn t working?

maybe that s normally the one causing all of the HOW can I FIX it?
You can t. Like richbuff said above your message: installer for kaspersky 2013 av/is just isn't compatible yet with windows 8.1.
If you need install kaspersky for your windows 8.1 install version 2014 instead.

Still not? 4 months then post? KIS 2014 isn't a option, firewall broken beyond usability won t block, allows traffic for Apps which do not just have rules defined, even if Trust Signed applications is disabled and KSN is deactivated and trusted group is determined to Prompt for Action for Public Network. KIS 2015 beta too buggy in the meantime.
Firewall works again in 2015, however it crashes constantly and freeze up which leads to struggle to start any new applications and blocks all traffic, prevents reboot if you do not hit reset on PC. So if 2013 doesn t work towards Win8.1, there isn't any usable solution yet. Why wasn t this fixed in every that time? Win 8.1 isn t that new and I assume that the situation was there with Win 8.0 too, mainly because it s the identical code base as Win 8.1.
Any ETA when 2013 are going to be fixed?
KIS 2013 supports Windows 8.1, however, only upgrading from 8 8.1, since the installer doesn t offer the patch which resolves 8.1 compatibility. There s no eta on updated installer, contact official support to learn more.

It is May half a year give or take Is there any update/movement with this? No offence but this example is really ridiculous. The fix for Win 8.1 may be out for quite a little while, but unbelievably enough, after months and months it offers still not been packaged into an operating installer. It is a very easy fix, provided there is some willingness to get it done, yet Kaspersky seems not to get bothered by any means. I fully appreciate how the focus is on KIS2014 plus the upcoming KIS2015, but there s certainly no excuse for failing to discharge an updated installer after all this
The KIS2014 firewall can be a total disaster, buggy, unreliable and plain unusable. I used KIS for quite some time, always as being a power user with custom rules, but KIS2014 is simply hopeless. I would gladly downgrade from KIS to KAV and employ it in conjunction using a third party firewall which actually asks me about and blocks a plan when I configure it and tell it to make it happen, essential someone decided that downgrading coming from a more expensive KIS with a cheaper KAV shouldn't be well, feel comfortable knowing that I will never buy a separate KAV license as a way to do so
I found themselves uninstalling KIS2014 completely and making use of instead the free Avast AV together with Comodo s Personal Firewall. I just had enough with the useless KIS2014 firewall which drives me nuts. It is sad that men and women are forced in a position whether they have to give up Kaspersky altogether so that you can benefit from your proper/reliable firewall. The antivirus is wonderful, but as Kaspersky s misguided policy will not be to allow individuals downgrade from KIS to KAV without cost, to ensure we can use a 3rd party firewall in our choice if your KIS2014 one doesn t be employed by us, and ever since the KIS2013 installer hasn t been upgraded either, I needed to give up on Kaspersky completely. Way to retain customers
It is only sad, and I hope that Kaspersky realises that they're actively turning loyal users away. But such is
Sorry for that rant, it is really being made together with the best intentions, but I am very disappointed in regards to the KIS firewall evolution through the years, culminating with KIS2014. I am extremely disappointed and incredibly upset, together with the basic absence of support for KIS2013 after several months, if it basically all amounts to an easy fix and insufficient willingness. Then again, minimal Kaspersky ought to do, would be to allow disgruntled KIS users to downgrade free of charge to KAV and retain them as customers, but that door is firmly closed too, which is really a very ill considered policy which makes things worse.
All in every, I had enough in case things don t change soon, then its time and energy to move away from Kaspersky.
Windows 10 support, merged
I know Windows 10 is in development but it can be nice to know that Kaspersky is implementing getting Pure together with it s other security program lineups for the new main system software. Hope to see support soon.
Official support will happen concerning the time W10 will likely be released sometime next not soon.

If so, I can finally move back to getting it on my small Workstations here. Yay
EDIT: Nevermind. Found one other posts proclaiming that Kaspersky is not going to support Beta OS systems.

I know this has become asked, but we have a very different situation now with windows 10 and also the free upgrade. So it s fair ought to if KTS will likely be ready. I assume it is going to be, but it can be good for getting an official answer. Thanks ahead of time for giving a straight answer; I know you an practice it I know, that s somewhat sarcastic, but a tad of levity never. BC
