Both my 18 year-old daughter and my 5 year-old son have enjoyed reading this product. My daughter had the many Jump Start programs from kindergarten on the 8 th grade. She would do them annually ahead on the year she was signed up for her private school. My son is at public school so he could be right at his grade level. The games are entertaining and with some easier and several challenging. This variety gives him the opportunity select what he could be ready for for the momement. After deploying it a few times they are now independant in navigating over the program. Its highly interactive with great sound to accompany the visuals. I feel it's got helped him along with his critical thinking skills above all. Hes so proud when he finishes a game title or task. We like it!

I really enjoyed reading this game when my teenagers played it. It provided an excellent go to whenever we were homeschooling and I either didnt hold the time for the proper lesson or these people were begging for computer time. Now that my youngest is five I wanted exactly the same for him so I bought Jump Start Kindergarten at Target. The new version isn't nearly so well-crafted as this place! So save the aggravation and also the money and purchase this one instead.

I was actually excited to order the game as it was obviously a favorite of mine to be a child, but was extremely disappointed to discover that Knowledge Adventure sent me the incorrect game and instead sent me JumpStart Kindergarten Advanced. I am very upset that I wasn't sent them PICTURED above.

The kids want it and it assists them to to learn. They used it for just a couple of weeks, then got bored from it. It got them enthusiastic about letters and numbers though. Its a superb change of pace from hand written learning activities.

My daughter is 5 and heading into Kindergarten this Fall. She uses many in her pre-K class and loves it. The item arrived at a much quicker time as opposed to shipping method we selected and were happy with it

I have 3-4 jumpstart programs. These are good. Kids 3 and 5 year-old love them. But unfortunately the programs isn't going to install for the PC. Installation just place the link about the desktop. Everytime you have to position the CD in to the computer, only you may start this system. With kids CDs can be damaged. Without CD this program will not run. If you have your PC put from the cabinet it can be a big hassle to improve CDs everytime you need to run the programs.
It will be good when the programs get set up on PC therefore you never have to bother about CDs again. But might appear to be company is deliberately not letting it attached with computer in order that you buy new CD whether it gets corrupted. SMART way to rip-off. Ill think ten times before I buy any Jumpstart program again. I would give 5 stars to understand the programmers efforts to create these programs invaluable. But Ill deduct 2 stars for companys dirty tricks.

This game helped my litte brother within the summer so he'd not forget what he learned in preschool. It helped together with his math with the exceptional reading which was obviously a struggle for him. Overall it is a wonderful game.

The kids enjoy it. It is easy to navigate and bright vibrant colors complement great audio. There is really a reason it can be rated highly.
This only agreed to be okay. My son didnt really enjoy it and I was hoping for an issue that hed absolutely love. It was obviously a little too basic and not even attempt to reel him in, as it were.

This would be the only software my now almost 3 yr old daughter is able to thoroughly enjoy to the past year and a half. I had tried other software that had been geared for adolescent children preschool or kindergarten and these were way from her range. So, using a whim, I grabbed this title at toys r us when you shop for other things. My version is definitely Jumpstart Advanced Preschool for a long time 1 1/2 to 4 years. It is made of 4 CDs, info is Jumpstart Toddler. This CD is affectionately known in this house as Tickle Duckie since thats what my daughter has exploded to call Dedee the duck who will be the star of many of the games. I credit many to teaching my daughter her shapes, colors, and alphabet all in an early she had tons of fun playing these games. She is now, at almost 36 months, beginning to grow from these games. I just installed the Jumpstart Preschool Fundamentals CD on my small pc and definately will see how she does to be able now, but Im sure Tickle Duckie is still a favorite of hers.

This is just not bad software, but it's old and outdated which is reflected inside the quality from the graphics, sound, and animation. Its still a viable group of activities for toddlers, but you'll find better ones. For example, your website has a free ABC Zoo with better graphics and sound compared to one with this CD. The same is true for that musical instrument activity. Besides that, it really is short on activities overall compared for the latest Reader Rabbit Toddler. Adventure Workshop Toddler, including Reader Rabbit and 3 other CDs has several dozen more activities, with superior sound and graphics. This is undoubtedly the best cd that I discovered for toddlers. It practices colors, shapes, letters, numbers, mouse control, and new words. The writers of mafia wars really understood that the toddler uses laptop. The game makes every button around the keyboard a great button to push. Something always will occur! This games was written prior to start keyboard button, making sure that will still retrieve the start menu in Windows. All other buttons their very own functions changed to suit the game. Even the ESC secret's good!
It is additionally good that games may use either mouse or keyboard except one game about mouse control. The buttons causes all in the fun items to happen together with clicking around the picture.
Highly recommended! My toddler enjoyed it from about 17 months.

I purchased farmville for my son as being a Christmas gift! He will likely be 2 using some months and extremely has lots of fun playing it. The games are simple enough that if you you may move a mouse you may play a lot of them. The ability does vary so, I am sure that as his skills improve he is going to be able to play more from the games. Over all a GREAT product!!!!

This is some from the best Ive ever spent. My child has spent hours in front from the computer on this. Ive gotten a lot accomplished throughout the house while hes learned all his letters, his numbers, phonics, and even more. There are a couple games which he needs the mouse for, but could he was ready with the mouse, he could take part in the games and entertain himself while using keyboard. It has also taught him using a ! This is a favorite things!

My daughter is 22 months old and already has Windows 7 established. She can log away from her mommys user and log into her limited account or place the computer to sleep whenever we tell her, Lets take a rest from the pc. She can switch between programs she likes effortlessly, Windows 7s Purble Place and Microsoft Word. She loves the PBS Kids website and is able to pause and full screen and, unfortunately, un-full screen Dora and Sesame Street on Netflix Watch-Instantly.
But she cannot get a handle for this program plus it both bores and frustrates her. The loading animations are long along with the UI is terrible. What you are able to click on is very unclear-even I had no idea the fact that was actually interactive and what wasnt without some experimentation. Think mid-90s adventure games.
While it runs fine on Windows 7, it became a pain from the butt for me for making it full-screen having its paltry 640x480 resolution-I was required to use my nVidia Control Panel to just make it into full screen. Before that, it would be a small window in the middle of blackness that used only 15% of my screen 640x480 over a 1920x1080 monitor.
Frustratingly, theres a coloring section containing an abominably stupid feature: an enormous print button. Yeah, because I want my toddler to select when to use ink and paper. What where they thinking?!
There are a couple of decent ideas here, but we were holding very poorly implemented. More than anything, the interactive parts of this course need discrete, well-defined buttons. As it truly is, the play a song button could be the only thing that may be and, consequently, is only part my daughter knew for certain to simply click.
