I have download both inventory systems from cNet. The ABC has more functions relevant to production, and AID is a lot more for buying, selling, and product distribution, I find both Almyta products very beneficial. Also free license won't hurt whatsoever.
Some fuctions that I been on mind are not available, but those are extremely specific if you ask me on anoher hand. But I am an optiminst and wish to have them free of charge from the future.
I recommend quite sure just for trying and use. One package come having a full blown accounting module, customer/supplier returns. another contains Work Orders, Bill of Materials. Both packages support barcodes, serial numbers, expiration dates.
I find many very helpful. I can scan barcodes involved with it and print barcoded labels and packing slips.

I have purchased a multi-user upgrade. Runs well on the network. This software will not be for single guy/gal business.
