Normally, I love the upgrades to ilife. This version if it is possible to really think of it as an upgrade do not have any major upgrades on the 09 version. In fact, iPhoto is definitely WORSE. I dont such as the new UI, plus it managed to destroy a whole library of approximately 400 photos through the upgrade process. I did are able to recover many of them from another computer and many backup discs, but the many metadata that opted for them is fully gone.
I needed to give ilife 11 a good I re-installed it, updated it over the on-line software update and re-imported the photos that I could recover in the first time around. This time I got to try out around with 11 and have a look at what several of the changes were. I am a Mac fan boy so when Steve tells me to upgrade I upgrade. So I bought iLife 11 and installed it even so the first time I opened iPhoto it explained to upgrade the photo database. No problem using this but after quarter-hour it tells me the database is corrupted which enables it to not be used. I have been making use of it every single day together with the previous version of iPhoto so I am confused why iPhoto 11 might have an issue from it.
