If I were built with a top ten lists of favorite authors, Dr. Sproul can be somewhere inside the top three. The man is merely brilliant. By that I mean he could be both simple and easy and brilliant. The guy just has an easy way of wearing down complex theological issues into understandable pieces that men and women like me can digest.
Recently, I was in the opportunity to review certainly one of Dr. Sprouls latest books, Unseen Realities. In this small paperback seeks to research the spiritual world of things unseen. Normally, I am not really consumed by such topics, but anything by is often worth a shot. I hasn't been disappointed.
The book is neatly divided up into four parts - Heaven, Hell, Angels and Satan.
The first part on heaven stood out to me one of the most. Quoting a couple of select passages just wont practice it justice because its not a whole lot the content or perhaps the exact wording that shines, it may be the tone. Sproul writes as a guy reminiscing about his moved beloved memories. He writes as a male genuinely intrigued with a place to which hes never been but so longs for being one day.
From a wistful discuss heaven, Sproul dives in the uncomfortable subject of eternal damnation, hell. This section artfully refers to some on the common questions everyone has about this subject. What I found missing with this book was much of an discussion about demons/fallen angels. When you mention your message demon for the cover, you expect a greater portion of an appearance within the pages thereafter.
